Whats up?

My names Greg and i'm new to TST. Figured i'd start a thread introducing myself and my car. I picked up a Steel Grey 2006 STI in July of 2006 and have loved every minute of it. I currently line in Fairfield, CT for school, but live on Long Island for the summer and vacations.

Here are some pictures of how the car sits today...

dynoed it about a month ago. on the OTS map it put down 282whp and 285 wtq.

Waiting on all the parts to get installed before i hit the dyno again (short on cash). And starting to think about which turbo to go with. Probably going to do an APS SR56 and EWG.

Anyways welcome to TST.

The GTI in the back is my roommates up at school. Hes currently making about 330whp (not sure on which turbo upgrade), but the car is a lot of fun to drive. I believe he is parting it out now though because he just picked up an Urban Grey 2007 STI Limited.

I love that color man and love the smaller spolier. It gives it a sleeker less boxy look. Awesome mods too!!

^^^yeah man I'm not sure about my feelings for it either. I just know i cant deal with the sti spoiler any more and unless i feel like spending the cash to respray part of the car, there is really nothing i can do about it.

How did you go about the debadge on the trunk. I have an 05 with an 06 wingless trunk and I would like to get rid of the Subaru badge in the middle.

The subaru star badge in the middle of the trunk will not be able to removed unless you bring it to a body shop. It is held on with two holes and the trunk and screws on the inside. For the other emblems "SUBARU", "IMPREZA" and "STI" a heat gun (keep it constantly moving) and fishing line did the trick. That and a soar thumb. Just make sure to wash and wax the trunk after.

GTI is a 20th, that he is currently parting out. I believe he has the FMIC and Roll Cage and some suspension goodies still for sale.

He replaced the GTI with an 07 STI Limited

Yeah, i know subies are notorious for running ****ty with BOV's, however i do not have much choice as I do not think the stock BPV can run with the APS Front Mount Intercooler. However, APS makes some pretty decent products, so i trust their reasoning behind the BOV instead of the BPV. Not to mention that once i do my turbo i'll be moving the position of my MAF sensor so i do not feel i will have any problems once that is done.

Thanks for the heads up though.

And for a little update. I decided to hold off on the install of most of my parts for right now.

The upper IC piping, Intake Manifold, Turbo Inlet and Cold Air Intake will be getting powdercoated black soon. I also ordered some JDM TGV's which ill be getting ported before my tune at XX-Tuning.

Once i get everything back from being ported/powdercoated i'll be installing everything and getting a tune. I'll be finishing off my suspension and exterior mods once that is done. Then come the bigger turbo, headers, EWG up pipe, New injectors, boost controller and a re-tune.
