I'm doing a little research on some mods that I want to do on my 06 maxima and I wanted to know if you guys could point me to a shop that does good exhaust pipe work. I want to install some magnaflow mufflers but i know that i will have to have the pipes redone at least from the Y split. So if anyone has a suggestions on a shop in Philly or within 25 miles of philly that does quality work at a fair price, i'd appreciate it.

any muffler shop that can do mandrel bends is good. possibly ask to see if they have pictures of previous work, which i don't think a muffler shop would. But yeah doing exhaust isn't hard. Just bending and welding.

LOL any shop that can do mandrel bends isn't an exhaust shop - they're a mass production pipe shop. Mandrel benders are in the hundreds of thousands of dollars in cost - if you find a muffler shop with a true mandrel bender please let me know ;)

Check with Justin at Monro in Souderton - my son, Derek, will also work there through tomorrow, then he's moving out of state. They fab up stuff all the time using 3"-4" pipe, and we get our mandrel bends from Jeg's (www.jegs.com) - cheap, fast shipping, etc.

We just did the exhaust on the GTO today - sounds incredible.

Starting at $35k WITHOUT TOOLING for a 3" bender. Go find one that does 7/8 - 6" and we'll talk :)

yea true but I doubt an exhaust shop needs to bend 6" pipe.

It's actually the smaller diameter piping that is more difficult/expensive. If the exhaust shop wants to cater to diesel pickups, 5" - 6" exhaust is nothing.

Mufflex in trenton is the best around hands down when it comes to custom mandrel bent systems, they can also make awesome custom tubular turbo manifolds..
