Here is the picture. Now focus on the front of the car and if you look to the END of the lower bumper you'll see the black splitter not the LIP. If anyone has these, do they fall off because of the vibration over and over again? It is only tape... I'm curious because, I wouldn't mind buying a pair myself and personally, I would rather drill them in permanately. I would appreaciate your Opinions.

I think what you are referring to is a carnard, not a splitter.

LOL Amazing

No that is a Wood splitter. The blade on the end is the splitter part, which "splits" the wood to go around.

Just like on the front of that BMW, on the bottom of the front bumper, on both sides, there are "splitters". Basically "split" the wind to divert it under the bumper or up so there isn't as much of a neutral air in-front of the car which makes your vehicle more aerodynamic.

that's a splitter. A splitter normally mounts on the underside of the front bumper and will go as far back as teh front wheels, covering any air gaps in the front of the car.

i can't see them being taped on since they are suppose to help create downforce. personally I think they are kidna ugly unless on a real race car.

But, what does a splitter do?

TTsupra911

creates down force. There really isn't much use for them on the street because your not going to be seeing that high of speeds where it actually does something. A splitter is at it's best on road course and will kep your front end planted at high speeds and through the corners if set up properly
