The quality/clarity of photo #4 is the best, but the shot is too busy...there's too much going on all at once with nothing really standing out as the main subject, most likely because it's cropped/zoomed too close for an overall shot and not zoomed/framed enough to focus on one particular subject. I think it would be an awesome photo if it was one or the other.

I think #6 is the exact opposite...a very defined subject, decent framing, overall pretty good color, but it's a little blurry and seems oversharpened on the signs in an attempt to fix it. If #6 had the overall photo quality of #4, it would be the clear winner. Also, for some reason, the cutoff point on the fountain and the ornaments bothers me. If the zoom was just slightly less, I think the framing would seem much more natural rather than abruptly cutting off the ornaments.

I like the creativity of #3 as well. :)

I think you would've gotten a few more had people not voted for the picture that totally didn't follow the theme. I see nothing festive about a beach scene.

Paradise shouldn't have even been in the contest...the rules specifically say it has to have a festive theme. If there are any images submitted to me that do not follow the theme for the contest, they will not be posted in the voting poll. and please....don't bash other people's work, be constructive in your criticism.

hah, I'm not exactly broken up about it. As I told you, it was just a snapshot. I really just liked the lighting on the people's faces.

My photo was #2, Garland and Bows. Two votes. I can't say I was dissapointed it was rather forced. I had better shots that all had some technical flaws that rendered them unusable.

I specifically went to NYC to take pictures for the contest, Rockefeller was just WAY too crowded for me to stand there with my tripod getting bumped around, that's why I shot Radio City.

P.S. - you're looking for a Supra? what year/motor/trans...and does it have to be stock or do you want it modded already?

My Siberian is tough to shoot when his eyes are open...he's either sleeping or running around or he turns away from the camera when it's pointed at him.

Well mine was #1. I wasn't happy at all with it, but it was the best pic I had and I figured I would submit something so hopefully this photography contest only gets more popular.

My shot was taken with my Canon SD450 P & S. Next time I will be using my D80.

I'm still pretty new at photography, but I'm getting better. That's why I like these contests. They'll give me an excuse to get out and practice and learn from my mistakes.

I do agree that the picture was a bit busy. I should have focused more on the angel, but I just liked the lit up snow flakes in the background and the fountain that I was unsure how to compose the picture the right way and still get it all in the shot.

Sucks my picture got bashed. I submitted it because I took that picture in the British Virgin Islands and I thought it came out well. I didn't realize it was a festive thing due to the fact I work everyday till 6 and I got home, saw the contest, and just submitted the picture, than went to sleep. And if your gonna bash my picture than I won't submit anymore. For those of you who said it should have won... thanks. Another thing... I don't use photoshop what so ever. I only show what the camera took. And the Paradise picture was taken during the Christmas festive time so it wasn't that off topic. But heres two pictures of some festive things from NYC...
