--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I couldnt find these answers on this forum or any other in that matter.
I recently finished my 6 bolt swap, runs good but of course there are still some issues and questions. Its a 97 eclipse gst spyder, 6 bolt swap 7 bolt head, 1000cc injectors, 95 eprom ecu w/ dsmlink. I also have a AEM wideband piece as well. I hear you can wire the wideband to the link....Does anyone know how to do this??? Another issue is the injectors. when i ordered the link i had rc 550's, while the link was in transit i spun my rod bearing and did the swap. Now the link was written for rc 550's and now im running rc 1000's. I cant find the global or deadtime for these and the calculation they give you to find out dead time still throws injector CEL's. Any one else running rc 1000's that figured out or knows these numbers? And last but not least these infamous misfire codes. I have been reading around, and visited numerous web sites such as RRE, magnus,VFAQ and so on. seems most people have the problem but theres no info, and no one seems to have it as frequently as i do. On a 20 mile ride i'll get the misfire code 3-10 times. everytime the code pops up, the car leans out to the point where my wideband cant read it. It forces me to shut the car down, pull over, reset the code then start back up only to do it again a little ways down the street. I cant roll down the street with out the laptop to clear these codes! does ANYONE know how to remedy this problem, besides the magnus POT MOD???? your help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

http://dsmlinkwiki.redacresracing.com/default.aspx/DSMLink/BaseInjectorData.html Just because I was looking at it at work last night. For the other problems seek help on the DSM link Fourm.

it does not mention rc 1000's if u didnt notice. the base of the others 1000's does not work well and to get on the forum the administrator has to apporve you...which im working on

what have you tried? You can use the other 1000cc injectors to get a starting point. I would try something along the lines of -54 on the global and 500 dead time to start and play with it from there. If you can post up a logg and your settings it helps to see what is going on.

Btw you do know that dumping to much fuel will cause the wide band to read lean right

Why would the w/b read lean when its too rich? My plx m-300 reads rich if i'am too rich.

If you have enough fuel that it will not combust you will go lean on the wide band. I've seen this on a Laser w/ a PLX M300. He was hitting fuel cut so he kept dummping fuel. Well that was cause he was trying to tune with out any gauges, but when the wide band got in stalled he was running around 9:1 up to about 5500 when the wide band would would go lean and he'd hit fuel cut shortly afterwards

if im rich, my wideband will read rich...thats not the case. I think i may have got the global on point , Now i just have to pinpoint the dead time and tune from there...by the way i eliminated the misfire

What did you end up using for global?

If you're still having problems, I could probably help. I didn't see this thread until now.
