Jourdan's 2006 WRX...New Motor, horay!

i popped a piston....so my motor was blown....so now i got an Sti block with Mahle Pistons blah blah etcetera...and my car should be back on the road in a few days. i'll put up some pics of the stock block when i figure out how...so whatev. i will be up @ the freshworks meet in the next week.

Yeah, so, in the Spring of 2006 I picked up this car. 2006 World Rally Blue WRX.
I originally told myself nothing more then a Stage 2 WRX with some suspension mods at most...
well, needless to say, i got bit by the mod bug.:devil: and I'm an Idiot.

The Car Dynoed 380 on pump @ Turboxs. The c16 race fuel tune yields about 450awhp.

I took it to Englishtown after the new tune and gears, couldn't grip and ran an 11.9 on pump gas.

thanks. Andy said i have the option. but i didnt go with 2 maps at my past tuning session because we were having problems with the PE 800cc injectors leaning out at higher PSI...thats why im on a safe tune.
but im gonna run alky in the spring, and i will run 2 different maps....if i go back in the next couple weeks, then i think i might run c16 just to be badass. my car is still WAYYYYY rough, especially because i just put even bigger injectors in.
so far, i cant give any good feedback until my car is FULLY tuned. but i have faith in Andy. so it will be awesome.

i beat a red ferrari the other night(1st gear roll). my clutch's last dying fight. ohhh, and it was good. it was goood.

i know jourdan does not have a 6speed, i know what happens when you do a 6speed with out dccd, major wheel hop and traction issues, because of the power transfer. i was just trying to mess with you to kill time!!!!!

not that wrx's are much of sleepers to begin with but that intercooler is amazingly stealth. i couldnt tell in the one pic i thought it was just a grill

NICE! Get those gears and a clutch (make sure it's 06 specific as they are different) and you should be ripping people up.

The TD04 works well with the EWG. It made 365 wtq but it falls flat on its face at 5K.

and once i have my new clutch in we are gonna head back up for a new map on c16 race fuel.

im going to get a final tune for the 93octane map....then my other map on c16.

the whole ppg gear thing is still up in the air as to what i can do as of yet since i have a 2006 wrx transmission. i need to find out if everything will work and fit properly.
i cant wait until this thing is done in the spring.

the 2006 wrx transmission gears have been widened out to take on more power. obviously not this much power but we will see how long i can keep the stock tranny.
im in the process of ordering the PPG gears right now.

What combo PPG gears are you looking at?

I would recommend Straight 1-2 and Helical 3-4

These trannies are wider than previous years but they still use a 20 year old split case design that is NOT going to hold that power for long.

Nice. The 1-4 helical would be good but the 1-2 straight would be better for the drag racing stress (a dogbox would be good also:wink: )

Damn dude, hope your engine is ok..The mitsu turbos are pretty robust when it comes to the shaft bearings and seals..I had a 20g I put through hell for 50k and it was loving it..If it is the engine I know you will do the right thing there and boost with the big dogs..
