Nice pic man. Now that I am done with finals I just started trying to take some pics for the photo contest but we'll see how they come out.

What are you shooting with?
It's a D70s that I bought about a week after Chaz bought his D50 in April. That pic was with the 18-70mm kit lens, I just stuck the camera on the front desk and used the self-timer to take it (3 seconds, f/10). I also have the Nikon 50mm f/1.8 lens, but ultimately I'd like to buy a real wide-angle lens (like the 12-24mm), a decent zoom (80-200mm f/2.8 D), and possibly sell the D70s for a D80. :mrgreen:

Sounds good man, I am hoping to a get a D50 soon but we'll see.

Right now I just can't get that kind of resolution and detail with my SD450 P & S.

Nice! Really clean, and those armchairs look almost fake. Nice simple composition. You could split the picture in half perfectly.

I shot a bunch of stuff for the photo contest today, time for editing! You could've saved that, too, looks festive to me.

It's the "Hotel President" in downtown Kansas City, Missouri. It's now called the Hilton President...it was originally built in the 1920's, but was closed down for the last 20-something years. They spent 45 million to restore it and it reopened back in January.

Heh, here's the picture of the lobby on the hilton website, shot in the other direction:

It's the original 1940's decor.
