Well after a long love of photography i have finally gotten serious and picked up a dslr. Got it from b&h at a very good price so i am pretty happy.
No its not a d70s or a d80...

For right now i only have the 18-70 kit lense the next purchase will probably be a long zoom lense hopefully a 80-200 f2.8 nikon. Anyway took some pics today nothing great and they are right out of the camera so don't be too mean.

Congrats! Having shot with both, the D200 is much more solid feeling than the D70, plus you get the extra resolution, etcetc. Have fun with it!

Yeah I talked to Barry a lot about how a D50 or D70 would be more than enough for him right now but the price just dropped a good amount on the D200 and I really couldn't argue against it since it was considerably cheaper, and it does have superior image quality, among many other advantages. It is way more than he needs right now but he should be able to keep it well into the foreseeable future so hopefully he will stick with photography and this will turn out to be a great buy.
Plus, I can borrow it so I have a second body on some of my more important shoots :wink:

im definitely jealous-- I wish i could afford a D200. Im hoping to get a D50 or a D70 for Christmas, and then I will be joining the Photo forum as well.

Have Chaz teach you how to take pics. He is the best photographer I have seen yet.

Imagine him on a d200. I mean he already was told his skills could get him a job with a HUGE import car magazine but his PM box was full so the offer went away quick.

Chris PA is really really good too, although I cannot account for him since he never took any pics of my car. :wink:

And yes, Subiesport offered me the option to have Chaz shoot my car for print. I tried to get in touch with him but his PM box was full and his phone was off, so I had no choice but to pick someone else.
