Porsche 911- loud as hell

Black 911 Carrera (not a turbo, didn't have the body work or super-wide rear tires) but it was loud enough to wake the dead. Also sounded like he had major engine work or a race clutch, because accelerating from a stoplight he had to really work on modulating the clutch and babying the gas pedal. Was at the corner of Street Road and 2nd Street Pike yesterday around 8:30 or so.

Was it grey/silver? and could you see the large intercooler chillin on top of the engine?

Last time I heared EP's car it wasn't super-loud... particularly at idle.

Come to think of it, it was a newer 996 model, and his is a 993 right? Oh well. Also saw that black Bentley Continental GT and a red NSX at the same corner. I was sitting outside the Starbucks there with a friend. The Bentley parked right in front of us :rock:
