ok so i had this b16 that im swapping into my car and everythings going relatively smoothly, and i realized im pretty f'ed on my distributor. the motor i bought didnt come with a dizzy or anything else it was a bare block. so i sourced alot of integra parts for it thinking b-series to b-series. i knew id run into issues it not being a vtec distributor and that my motor is obd0 so the right obd distributor would be hard to get. i was told that you could just snap off a piece in the cap on the b18 distributor to make it work with b16's. when i tried putting the dizzy in the bolt parrterns arent the same, my old d-series distributor lines up better than the b-series. what are my options for distributors? can you make the ls dizzy work or do i have to source a obd0 b16 dizzy. would it be easier at this point to just convert to obd1?

PS.

i just dropped the ls dizzy and broke the cap...awesome

If your really down and out you can make a b series non vtec work aswell as a d series. All the sensors inside are the same you just have to remove either distributor legs to fit depending on the distributor. This is not the best way of doing things but if you have to make it work it is possiable.

Yea i have always heard you can cut a leg on and LS dizzy to make it fit the B16..also just a bit of info the 88-91 civic/crx and 90-93 Integras an other OBD0 dizzys including B16 use the same dizzy cap and rotor, so if you have a good one on either of your dizzys you can use it....

let me know if you need some help with that swap
