View Full Version : 240 @ Martin's Creek Powerplant Shoot

I spent Sunday afternoon cruisnig around the River valley/Rt 611 from my town down below Easton and back. Not a huge area, but tons of back roads and turns....I came across this PPL powerplant and decided to see it up close. I got to the gate, and saw a security guy checking me out, so I went up to the road above the plant to take pics. I didn't want to test the guard, as I know how powerplants are with all of this amber alert ****....

The pics came out 'ok'...they are a tad dark, and with no tripod...(i forgot it at home) I still need lots and lots of Photoshop time (now that I have it), and now with winter here, I will be forced to learn the camera as well (Rebel XT)...'ll get better soon enough!

Yes, and no. This is takena bout 200 ft from the entrance to the place, and it's all covered by trees, so you can't get near the plant itself. That, and as I said in the top part, I didn't want to test the security gaurds at alll

That's cool.. I used to live right off of that road.. and you can get a little bit closer by taking a small back road but it's dirt and then you get up to a chain link fence and they really dont like you that close, I've gotten yelled at a few times by security.

Pictures look good Ace. First pic is the best. The car has a nice stance.

You should have put this in your existing folder or the Gallery tho.
