11.9@118mph Stock turbo EVO on pump!

I had some awesome passes today at Atco. Weather was nice and cool and I stomped the pump gas/stock turbo trap record which was 117.2 by a guy in Alabama. I backed it up with 2 more 11.9s@117.7 and a 12.2@118. My best ET was with only a 1.82 60". I think I can nail an 11.6 with a 1.60 if I do some more things to get traction. Anyway, great day today!

Yeah the cold weather was nice! I think it was around 45 there today. However Im sure the weather was killing my traction. The one time I tried launching hard using the launch control leaving the line with 14psi I lit up the tires hardcore and went nowhere. Stupidly I had 34psi in the front tires, so next time Im going to drop them down a lot and go for some proper AWD 60's.

i saw you there. car was moving good man, and looks nice!! i was in the silver RSX. i ran in full street trim with my ****ty street tires. couldnt cut anything better than 2.3 60's, and best of the day was a 14.1@101mph.

No its about being able to read, thats all that matters. I said in the original post fastest trap on pump gas with stock turbo. Very simple.

Yes. Volk TE37s 18x8.5 with 235 Kuhmo MXs. Yes 10.5.

They are 3lbs lighter than stock. My ET can be a lot better with that trap.

you can run probably somewhere around 11.40s with that trap speed. thats a fast evo still running the stock turbo and pretty much stock engine. you get props from me.

Nice times I guess. Work on those 60' times more than the rest of the E.T. The better the 60' times are most likely the other times will be better. Might want to consider drag radials as well.

I was doing mediocre launches at around 5000rpm and getting 1.82, 1.79, etc. Anything higher, I would just spin. Next time Ill have a lot less air pressure and Im going to do a quick launch before hand to try and heat them up!

Also, my car is FULL WEIGHT and I h ave the heaviest EVO made, SSL. It was 3321 stock. Only weight savings I have is no spare/jack

With 384whp and a 1.8 60" you should DEFINITELY be in the 11s without a sweat, so it has to be your shifting and where youre shifting. Practice slamming those gears and shifting at around 7300rpm.

Just trap speed for straight pump gas on the stock turbo. Curt Brown has run 10s@127 on the stock turbo, but sure wasnt any pump lol

I dragged it once at E-town and ran a 12.8 @105 as soon as I launched the stock clutch slipped right to redline, I let off completely then quikly floored it again. Needless to say I didn't try a second run. I have 3" turbo back, Walbro, Reflash, MBC @20psi.

I have a 10.5 Turbo I've been thinking of putting on with some 272's and a big fmic and clutch.

What is your complete mod list?
