Greetings,

Well, everyone else has a thread on here so I thought I would add my own. I posted several pics when I first joined but thought it would be fun to post on the current status of my current cars.

1998 Volvo C70 coupe. This car is my baby. It is one of approx. 135 imported to North America by Volvo. The color was only available on the coupes for one year. In addition to the color the car is also a 5-speed which was difficult to find. I have owned this car since October of '04 and am currently finishing up a rebuild after the timing belt tensioner went. I will post a full mod list later on. The engine is completely built and is now back in the car. At this point all that is left is fabbing up the turbo manifold and the car is back on the road.

Converting interior from tan to black(finding black interior pieces for this car is a royal pain in the butt)

1992 Acura NSX--picked this up over the Summer. As odd as it sounds I purchased this car as my current daily driver/future project car. Before anyone asks the car is in fact an automatic. Yes, I was hesitant to pick up an auto nsx but I plan on swapping the transmission this upcoming spring. Other than that the car is great and has been a great commuter car. Current mods include Bilstein struts/Zanardi springs, ARK DT-S exhaust, SOS coolant bottle, '02 rear valence. Currently have two sets of wheels. Street wheels are a set of 16/17" DP 3-piece wheels. I was able to pick up a set of old-school HRE 525 17/18" wheels that are being refinished as a summer set. I don't have too many pics of the car. In the few pics I do have you can see the missing front lip thanks to a Philadelphia parking garage:mad:

2002 Mercedes SLK230--This is the fiance's current DD. Nothing too crazy with the car, just an H&R cup kit. We are selling this one over the winter. She's definitely not a car girl but is currently stuck between a Volvo S60r or a 6-speed Acura TL(im ok with either).

right after the drop, tuckin a little tire:)

Just picked up this one yesterday. Gonna be the new city car. Its a 1973 Volvo 142. Im a big Volvo fan(I know, I know) and love the older cars. Should be a fun, cheap project. Don't exactly know what I have planned for it yet.

Here are a few of the other cars I've had in the past year.

1998 Volvo S70--This was a great daily driver and pretty quick for what it was. The pics are with the KW Variant II's slammed. Still rode really well at that height.

Pre-coilovers with older wheels

1978 Volvo 242--This car was the first city car. Great to drive, although slow as hell. This one was totalled while parked one night. Some guy ran a stop sign and plowed into it at 45+mph. Still miss this one.

a few updates on the cars:

After 14 months off the road the C70 is finally back home! The engine rebuild included

SPM forged rods
Venolia forged pistons
new bearings
ported/polished head
Inconel intake valves
Stainless exhaust valves
Ported turbo manifold
Ported N/A intake manifold
N/A TB(larger than stock unit
RIP(Reverse Intercooler Piping) kit
New radiator, engine mounts, hoses, belts, etc
Stage IV Southbend clutch

The engine currently has 80 miles on it and no leaks which is always a good thing! Installing the new turbo(GT35r)/manifold(custom)/injectors(750cc)/software(NIRA) as soon as the engine is broken in.

I also wasn't happy with how high the car sat with the 19's so a new set of KW Variant 2 coilovers were ordered. Im installing them this Saturday. The cat can be seen here pondering what the hell is inside the box...
http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/10/web/718000-718999/718942_206_full.jpg

I've also been working on the Volvo 142 when I get a chance. Don't have any current pics but do have a few from its first night home. The car is in surprisingly good shape given its age(its 34 years old!). Also found out the car has IPD swaybars, IPD springs, an aftermarket header, custom exhaust, an R-sport steering wheel(pretty rare) and some old school recaro's. It kills me having to park it on the street where it is at the mercy of the neighborhood kids and am looking forward to getting it in a garage somewhere.

I had been driving the NSX until this past week and haven't had much time to work on it. Im picking up the centers of my HRE's which were freshly powdercoated(thanks Chuck!) and will more than likely throw them on sometime in the upcoming weeks. Only plans for the car over the winter are are a new stereo system, installation of a set of Tein coilovers and a new front lip. When it warms up the manual transmission goes in.

Well, that's about it for now. Will post more pics as parts are installed.

C70 is gorgeous..nice NSX, but I don't like the rims to be honest with ya. Makes it look like a matchbox car.

But what a collection of vehicles..niiice man. Thanks for sharing.

Hi there,

Thanks for the compliments. Which wheels aren't you a fan of? The wheels that are currently on the NSX are coming off for good when the HRE's are mounted next week.

Gotcha,

The wheels pictured are DP Motorsports Enduro wheels. They came with the car and while im not a huge fun of them it is nice to have a beater set for the roads around here. The HRE's are a five spoke(albeit thicker). Just had the centers powdercoated Matte black(oem HRE black finish). Looking forward to getting them mounted.

lol, definitely a high performance cat. Just need to figure out how to properly mount him in the exhaust system......

Had a few free moments so I thought I would add some updated pics. I was able to mount the KW's on the C70. Still playing with the ride height a bit but im very satisfied with the ride and handling.

Also put the HRE's for the NSX back together. The centercaps are new and are the optional metal etched version. Damned things ran almost $300 for the set:eek: . The specs are 17 x 8.5" front, 18 x 10" rear. Just need to remount the tires and they are good to go.

Few updated pics as of May 23rd:

Put the HRE's on the NSX. I still have to have the centercaps machined a bit before they work but overall im pretty pleased.

Thanks, I appreciate it. Wanted to update my thread on the vehicles.

Sold both the 142 and the C70. I truely loved both cars but I just couldn't justify keeping(or properly) maintaining four cars in CC. Going to pick up a nice DD for myself as well as trade in the wife's POS SLK. Will post some updated pictures shortly.

Yeah, I ended up selling it for less than I put in it in the past year alone, lol. Such is the case selling modified cars(lesson learned). If I finish up in time this evening I was gonna stop by. Not getting out of here though until about 10:30 so i'll probably miss it.

We're most likely getting an S60r for the wife. As for myself, not sure. Im debating between a big sedan(CLS, A8) or an SUV(RR Sport, etc). Im really gonna start working on the Acura now and want some cushy to drive every day.

Update

Wow, haven't posted in here for almost a year. I'm up in Portsmouth, NH now and after a freaking cold winter have had some time to work on the cars. The Volvo is now for sale and posted in the fs forum. I've added a few new parts(Iforged wheels, black interior, etc) but have driven it a total of 76 miles since October of 2007:bigeek:

http://memimage.cardomain.com/member_images/10/web/718000-718999/718942_287_full.jpg

I've been able to start working on the NSX a little more and have installed the following parts:

Downforce Carbon Fiber side vents
Downforce Carbon Fber rear window garnish
Powerslot rotors with Hawk HPS pads
larger swaybars

http://www.nsxprime.com/photopost/data/500/me_139.jpg

http://www.nsxprime.com/photopost/data/500/me_141.jpg

Also have the following parts awaiting installation:

Carbon Fiber type r hood(painted)
Tein RA coilovers
Rear camber arms(freaking expensive!)
Recaro Pole Position seats(black leather)
5-speed transmission and related parts:mrgreen:

We ended up picking up a CPO'd Volvo XC90 for the wife to drive during the winter. Nothing too flashy but it is comfortable as heck and it's nice having the room to haul stuff around.

All of the cars out of the garage for once
http://memimage.cardomain.com/member_images/10/web/718000-718999/718942_303_full.jpg

Still have the SLK as well but it is hopefully leaving it soon. The wife has been driving it a bit while it's nice out but considering it's wintertime nine months out of the year here isn't very practical.

Matt, I hate that you have to sell the C. I have seen both the NSX and the C in person and I cant decide which one I like better, maybe its because I am a Volvo lover at heart!

Glad to see you are doing well though, and if you do sell the C I really hope it goes to someone who will appreciate it.
