How to check a AFPR?

Hey i have a aeromotive afpr and i dont think its rising pressure with boost. What is the easiest way to check it? Someoe suggested pulling the vac line and add 10psi of air but i dont have a fitting to get air into the afpr. Any help would be great.

Do they make a little micro hand pump that does pressure instead of vac? That would be a good tool to use.

I dont know......i know the guy at my local autopart place said to use a vac pump but i dont know what i would do with it? I would rather not spend lots of money on a pump either just to find out i have to buy a new apfr.

Hmm, is he talking about those little compressors that you plug into the cig lighter to fill your tires with? You could use one of those along with a vac T and a pressure gauge maybe? I don't know how you would regulate it though.

Na, he was talking about those little hand vac pumps. I do have access to compressed air but i dont know how i could see what i'am adding exactly, let alone getting it into the afpr without loseing lots of air.

Does the rail have a schrader valve. If so purchase a fuel pressure checker and put it up through the hood and under the wiper. Drive under boost and see if it rises.

I dont think it does.

turn the boost up and see if the car blows up. if it does your fuel pressure isnt being raised. if its fine then it is raising pressure.

Umm, i never thought about that one. I might just turn it up and see if i run richer under boost.

best thing to do is get a FP gauge to see if its rising.
