Dude, all I have to say is you're always gonna have haters and lovers. Not everyone will have a great experience and you have to sift through the oh well they said it would be 200 and it ended up being 600 people since there are two sides to every story. Usually, you dont get to hear the shops side where the truth was you brought in a turd that you wanted polishing.
Mark, Bean, and Jeff are great guys and have been doing it for a long long time. They have done everything from civics to vipers and everything inbetween.
Look at it this way, if they didnt know what they were doing, and had more disputes than not, how did they recently open a full service machine shop to their already expensive full dyno and service center? by f'ing peoples cars up? I think not...

^^ he is right, every one has their own experience. Mine was a very good one, they got everything done in a day, and called me before it was going on the dyno, so i could watch. i give them a check+

I dont know. I would assume he ment the plug was melted, broke, or bent which is usually cause by insufficiently tightened, too much timing, severe det, or misfires.

How would a piston melt if an injector didn't fire? If you have no fuel the spark plug won't ignite anything so... how? You can't miss-fire if there is nothing to ignite... (unless you guys know something I am not thinking of right now...)

I dont know how a "proffesional" tuner can melt a piston and still have a shop with out a "for rent" sign in the window. That is ridiculous. I never heard of turbo trix untill this post but they sure are no tuners thats for sure. I am pissed off for you evolved and it seems as though you are excepting this situation. What renegade said was right- they gave you a bull**** story- you cant melt a piston w/o fire. They were obviously not being carefull and ran too much boost for the fuel map and/or ignition curve. They must have been oblivious to the wideband readings or drunk or something

Some of you guys are a little too quick to jump to conclusions. My Evo was tuned at TT over a year ago and everything was great. The car just went back to TT so that they can fix the engine problem (which turned out to be a melted piston).
Was this when they were tunning it?
No, a year later.

Lots of air/boost + spark + not enough fuel in a Cyl = a very lean condition and boom. There you go. Not TT's fault. I have heard good and bad about them. Good outwaying the bad x 100. Every shop/tuner in the world has its lovers and haters.
Except 2 I know of. Jestr Tuning and Dr. Sean Ivey these guy have halos and are arguably the best in the buisness

All you heard from this thread is a person who didnt like them and someone whose car broke but at somepoint had their car tuned there. How can it be a shops fault that someone's injector went bad months after a tune. They have nothing to do with the parts that were on that car and how they work and/or were installed.
If you want an honest evaluation of turbo trix you should do some reading around on other forums and im sure you will find the good out weighing the bad...

See, about 5 minutes after I posted what I said earlier I thought... Wait, couldn't an injector just kind of semi-give out instead of just dying outright... Yeah, this is probably the case.

btw TT pauly and mark good peoples and mark actually tuned my freinds 2.0 lsvtec turbo to 540 on 14psi on pump no mixture. pauly's car runs pretty damn good too and i kno quite a few people that have gone there and have done fine. they do have bad stories just like every shop does. exception for a few shops and tuners.

LOL. Tuners tune air/boost, spark, fuel........if one is too high or not enough the tuner should adjust the tune! A car can boost a lil higher depending on temp and a tuner should take that into account.
Its funny you bring this thread back from a month ago since i went to a local dealership 2 weeks ago that had a used evo 9 with intake/exhuast and a TT tune......the car did pull hard but i wonder if it had to with the fact that it was running 25+psi on pump..LOL

An injector can give out a year after a tune without a doubt they could have tuned it perfect but in time parts do go. As far as 25lbs on 93 pump. You better
1. Have Headstuds (cause your gonna lift that pig off the block in no time)
2. Have a good eye on your A/F's
3. Keep your fingers crossed
4. Save you some money
IXs can handle a bit more boost with bolt ons than the VIII but 25lbs is pushing it man

Hey Redline, I would get your @ss up to TT right now if you haven't already! You don't know what you are missing.
Just get a turbo back, boost controller, and tune....and you will walk out with a big smile on your face. If you want to get crazy, have them hook you up with one of their Evo9 cams. WOW!
They have tuned my car 3 different times. Each time I had different mods put on. And they did a ton of mods for me in one day. As long as it's not a turbo kit or something large, they can do almost anything in one day.
I have 67,000 miles on my car and the engine runs strong! They installed my meth kit, and have me up to 384whp on stock turbo.
Mark is a great tuner and will take care of you. He doesn't just tune for high #'s, he tunes for reliability as well. I could probably crank out a few more HP, but it's not worth it. I'd go back to him anytime.

Name any shop and there will people that were satisfied and people that weren't. It is the nature of being in the car business. As they say you can't please everyone all the time. It is always the people that feel they were wronged who are the loudest and usually you are only hearing one side of the story from that person.
If you are considering using turbotrix call them and speak to Mike or Keith. How you are treated and the feeling you come away from the conversation with will go a long way.
I have been working with them and with common customers for years and my over all opinion of them is high.
