Finally got a chance to go to the dyno this morning. http://www.aaroncarr.com/images/smileys/woot.gif

I already added pics and everything to my cardomain page, so instead of rehashing it here, I'll just post a link. Any questions or comments are welcome though.

I probably would have chosen turbo, except there is no real brick and mortar shop that I've heard of yet that sells and supports a "turbo kit" for the 3rd gen. All the guys running them have either pieced the kit together themselves, or found a short lived kit and installed it themselves (or with help from friends). That's why I chose the Ripp kit.

Also, the 3rd gen isn't technically a DSM, which is why I haven't sought out any DSM clubs. I have no issues with the 1 and 2G people, but some of them are a little snobbish when it comes to the 3G. That's why I liked TST when I found it. All makes models welcome. http://www.aaroncarr.com/images/smileys/hbang2.gif

Sorry about that, i dont know anythign about your model eclipse so i just figurered it was a turbo, cause i seen a few of them online and have not seen any supercharged ones.
Your car is built good and it looks good. I dont have a problem with it and the only reason I call it a 3g is cause it is the third generation eclipse, i didnt actually call it a dsm. I just said dsm sites cause thats just what people would say. You should still check out the site i mentioned, everyone is cool and with you have a nice car theres nothign to be worried about.

That's cool. Like I said...I have no problem with DSMers. I just won't take any crap from them either if they're acting like d**ks. I think most are probably cool. Just a few snobs give them a bad rap.

I do know it's a 3G (2000-2005), and most of the info I get for it is at Club3G (http://www.club3g.com/).

The only corrections I was making are that it isn't DSM and it's SDS instead of turbo. It's all good though. Boost is boost. It's an addiction. http://www.aaroncarr.com/images/smileys/driving.gif

Good numbers. One of my friends was gettin an sr swap at import intelligence and we were there for a few hours once. Matt mentioned having done a supercharger on a 3g a few days earlier in like half the time the kit said it should take. Where did u get it dynoed? Good to see a 3g makin some good power, time to beat on some dsms and represent for the 3g. You are right boost is boost :D

I'm not trying to sound like an a$$ but I'll play devil's advocate for a sec.
Weren't you concerned about the large curb weight, plus the convertible weight, when you were spending alot of hp dough on the 3g?

The curb weight on the 3G is no worse than the WRX however. As for the convertible, that's just what I wanted. I will be dropping some of that convertible weight in the form of some CF (hood, trunk, fenders) and some fresh factory paint.

One thing that it has over other vehicles is that it's unique. You just don't see many boosted 3rd gen Eclipses around.

Very true, I'd be curious to see what it could do in the quarter mile.
