Saw it over on Rt 130 at Burlington Mitsubishi. They have an orange GS (4cyl) and a silver GT (6cyl). Surprisingly, they are freaking hawt. Way better looking in person than in the pics I have seen. The seats are actually really comfortable and pretty grippy. The interior is well laid out, and visibility is outstanding. LED tail lights, and the neat-o blue turn signal bulbs that light up orange.

As for the drive, they only had automatics on the lot. I drove the V6 GT. The car has some big hairy balls. Lots of torque. Easily broke the tires loose from a stop, and the engine is pretty eager to rev. The handling seems ok, but it rides on RE-92s. Anyone who owns a WRX knows what that means for handling.

Overall I think its really a nice car. The overall shape is outstanding, way sexier than the last style eclipse. Mitsu should sell the sh1t out of these.

MuddyRex approves.

I dont think its enough to pull Mitsu out of the huge hole they are currently in. I think the new eclipse sales in the first year will be strong and then fall off the charts like the current eclipse. It appeals to a small group of people in a large sales market dominated by Honda, Acura and mainly Toyota.
