View Full Version : DynoTune n20 setups
what do you guys think of them ? I was going to get a zex kit but I found a DynoTune kit for sale, unusued, with digital gauge and purge for $400 shipped ( like $250 off retail ) all I would need is a window switch and heater, so for like 600 bucks I'd have a pretty sweet setup

awe dame I just bought the dynotune kit, I actually saw your thread and asked if it was still available :[ would have much rather had the zex kit. although, I do like the dynotune window switch, only 130 bucks and it's fully adjustable ( rpms and gears )

thats what u say now... youll be surprised how many people dont know what there doing and think a 50 shot wont do much damage.
I actually looked into it a lot before seriously considering purchasing an n20 setup. 50 shot is "safe" on a tiburon without any sort of fuel tuner

its that kind of thinking that will f up the motor. at the very least, take the car to a dyno and do some runs with the spray, it see what the a/f ratio looks like.

Drew, is your tibby a return fuel system or returnless?? and are you planning on going dry or wet?

wet, it's a return fuel system ( only the i4 has a returnless ) some people are doing a dry shot, but i think that's just wreckless.
please don't get the wrong idea, i'm not planning on putting a 50 shot on my car, spraying constantly without a tune and then wondering what happened when something goes boom. i'm just not going to worry about getting a proper tune until i'm finished with a few other things. I don't want to get a good tune now and then another one in january when I add the rest of my stuff, and I'll probably up the shot to a 75 ( a little under half the stock HP )

umm good luck then. one thing you'll quickly learn is that you cant cheap out when it comes to making power. there is no free lunch. do it right or don't do it at all.

Without being rude, I think that you are just clueless when it comes to nitrous. Please read a bit more before making statements such as that.
Dynotune makes very affordable nitrous kits, with great quality. If you DO decide to get a "ZEX", be warned that there are LOTS of problems with the zex control boxes. I would rec. the dynotune over ZEX ANY day of the year.
If you want one of the highest quality nitrous noids, get NX (without getting in to the pro level noids). It appears that the dynotune kit will be perfect for your needs though.
Also, be sure to get a bottle heater and window switch. The dynotune bottle heater was, bar none, the absolute best heater that i have used.

as you said, without being rude, I have looked into it extensivly and found nothing but bad storys of tiburons on dry shots. a lot of people argue that the tib runs pretty rich stock and say a dry shot is fine, but there are just to many horror storys to ignore. better safe than sorry, ya know ?
edit: as for accesorys, I got everything dynotune; window switch, bottle heater, pressure gauge, and purge. not sure what blowdown tube i'll go with, i'm pretty happy with the current setup so the only thing i'll be changing is diferent size jets when i get it tuned
