i must say ive been in love with this car since i was 10(wow im old). the first time i laid eyes on it i was like omg i have to have it. at this point my car knowledge was limited to mostly american cars(my dad was a mechanic/enthusiast on the side). i didnt havent the faintest clue what a turbo was at 10 nor did i care, i was simply in love.

ok onto the purchase which was in 2001 for 10k cash, car had 96k when i bought her. she went 13.9 bonestock, after catback exhaust, intake, and 11psi vs stock 9psi she managed a 13.3. so i got a chip, clutch, fuel pump, eliminated ac and ps, dual intake. at this point i was having issues with the car and couldnt figure out what was wrong. so my buddy mitch(some of the z guys may know him, amz performance) looked over the car. he came up with my wiring harness being dry-rotted. im like ok ill try anything. well pulled everything out of her. which i might say for my first time was very scary. now that ive done it numerous times its cake. but on to the results, i figured how much is this really gonna help me out. boy was i suprised, after we got her back together it felt like a whole new car. so i take her to the track and go from 13.3 to 12.5(http://crazy2sin.com/storage/video/jason_0001.wmv) on street tires, with no other mods than a new wiring harness. so any z owners if your car has the same harness from its conception you may want to change it. also if help is needed let me know:cool:

at this point in the cars life it was through i minor fender bender which caused me to get the new bumper, sideskirts, and jspec wing. i regret the body kit minus the jspec wing. but dont worry that will soon change.


ok so after owning the car for around 2 years tradegy strikes. i was at a stop sign and a lady her blinker on to turn onto the street i was on. well i look both ways a few times. i go to pull out and the lady changes her mind at the last second... whaaaaaaaaaaam my z is totalled. :mad: :( i didnt know this but you must let the intersection clear before you move. so we were both at fault and i only had liability. so at this point im devastated and completely lost on what to do. so i start my journey on finding a shell to swap my engine and transmission into.

i had rust in the gas tank because of the chassis sitting so long. i had to drain the gas out. after that uses sandpaper and some rust remover to get it all out. then voila!! ran like a champ. got some sticky tires and headed to the track. im in need of a tune considering im on a intake/exhaust(can)tune. but heres the rusults. http://crazy2sin.com/storage/video/jasonbest.wmv
with this run...cant find one faster. i am the fastest stock turbo, injector, intercooler Z not on nitrous. im shooting for 11.8's after a tune:mrgreen:

Ok if you minus the 3 transmissions great! I mean the 2 replacements were both 400 used ones. So I guess I got what I paid for. Both had bad synchros when I got them.(just didn't know till the install) this time I bought a used one witha 6 month warranty.

Only other problems I've had was the fuel pump went, which allowed me to upgrade. The woring harness which was one of my best investments. Brand new from nissan for 300 was a steal, it brought me from 13.3 to 12.5.

No engine or turbo issues(knock on wood). I mean my eyes if you maintain a car mechanically it will last. Also I drive the car hard when I need to. I mean I don't hold anything back. But you better believe I change all fluids and tune ups when there supposed to be done.


Like any sports car it has weak points, mostly sychros in the trannies. other than that I believe it to be a very stout car. I love this car its ben very good to me.

I know it looks like a japanese fox body...lol. Not that I don't want it to look good. As you see from the exterior to engine bay where all the attention goes. That's not to say I don't want a nice looking car, just going fast is my first priority. I'm waiting to paint after the motor/turbo(s) go. Then ill do the build I want and do it right. Then shell get that sexxxy stock pearl white! For now shell look like crap and haul arse! Lmao

Yes they are the hipermax 2....I got them for a steal at 1k. There around 3k I think. Like them...holy crap I loooooove them. Insane the difference, that car just hugs the road even more then it did. I highly suggest you get them for the nsex! Also go to amzperformance.com and email the guy. Tell him you know me hell hook you up if your considering getting them.

that was a 1.707 60ft running bfg drag radials. im going to get et streets as i hear they are better for manual cars then the bfgs. only time will tell.

The z has a brand NEW trannsmission!! Yes brand new shipped from nissan in japan. This trans was put in the 97+ 300zx's in japan. They made revisons which were hardened synchros and better oiling which was the two downfalls to my transmission.


The trans is already in and she shifts like butter, it was really hard for me to not smile today knowing she would be done. She needs some breaks, the wheel bearing, new front tires, and a transmission mount.


So yes she's back on the road...sparingly.

im going big when the motor/turbos go..untill then 370cc injectors it is. im going to max out this setup so i can go 11's since so many told me it was impossible. pretty funny cause untuned i went 12.2 and i can def get a better 60ft. so tune and some better 60's ill shut alot of people up, they will still:bs:

stock turbos def have seen it, i meant stock ic, inj, turbos. they was one z with stock ic, inj, turbos who went 11.6 on spray. i think i can get a 11.8 without spray, then ill spray it till she goes faster or blows up. either way ill have a good time and some great footage.

all most all the bushings have been changed, rear sway bar, stock front sway, and thats it. 172k on the chassis, 120xxx on the motor
