I was supposed to go last night with friends but couldnt get off of work. Bunch of my friends went thou, sounds like a good night for the stang, probably loving the cold weather.

was a good night 98% of the cars were street no big events. only bad thing was the cold...the track was DEAD cold being mainly street cars and the fact it was like 30 degress the track never really heated up. i couldn't get **** for traction in my rsx even on drag radials.

Nice! Lets see what some good tires will do and maybe get rid of some weight. Car looks really good.

good luck with 11's @ 111mph. gonna be kind of tough but it is definetly possible. say maybe 1.60 60ft will get it. might even take a 1.5X.

stalled auto:mrgreen: runs the # as always

nah not gonna go 11's as it sits, but with the long tubes/high flow cats, tires, torque converter and tranny cooler i know it will go 11's with ease.

stock motor/tranny can't hold to much power. the blower can push close to 30psi though so once we build a motor its on like donkey kong, lol.

Better beef up that slush box with a stall converter and everything and you will be all set so you can get some better launches..

your sohc motor even built would never be able to take 30psi, not even 20

they have to be sent back and redone to make that much boost.

yeah we dont plan on running that much, but built i think we can hold 20psi and it should move pretty well at that point. the stock tranny isnt gonna hold up for to long i don't think. we are going to start picking out one very soon.

you won't even get 20psi even with a built motor, unless maybe its a track car only.

how do you figure with a built motor i wont be able to run 20psi?

That Novi can make 29psi.

W/ a convertor and other mods you listed it will go 11.90s.

thats what we planned and will be plenty happy with for the time being. so do you agree with me that when we build the motor it will handle more than 20 psi? i'm not sure where the other guy got his info from, but a BUILT motor(pistons, cams, bigger valves, etc..) will handle as much as you build it for...

edit: i also just found out she was running the car with traction control on so basically she launched it spun then shifted into 2nd gear.....

thats a low 12 second car as it sits, just need a better 60 foot time. every tenth in the 60 is two tents off you et. generally speaking. that tranny will hold up fine, all u raally need is a valve body and 3500 stall, maybe even 4000 stall, those mod motors really love the stall, also if u havent touched the rear , throw some 373 or 390 in it, add some slicks and u will hit low twelves possibly high 11s. those trannys are pretty stout, so i would stick with it, lentech makes a nice valve body, and contact edge performance, i hear andre is the man with custom converter. awesome pricing too.

good info thanks...oh yeah the car has 4:10's in it which i thought would be to high since the boost, but they are working just fine. we are going to do full exhaust and re-tune before the stall. once we see the dyno graph we'll figure out what RPM to get. shes goin back to the track tomorrow night. gonna try it without traction control see what it does......

that cool, i would say go 410s , but my buddy steve has a 2002 gt with a paxton( i think) and he has 410's, but when we ran it at the track he was running out of gear, he has a stick tho, i guess since u have an automatic u can run the 410 which is great. Im heading down to atco tomorow also, do u know 1988 OLds,(tim) hes one of my best friends and im heading down tomorow with him as well as some others from this board, prolly in my girls mustang too, she has a 1993 gt, with just exhaust and ****, nothing really, she dont even drive it cuz its a stick and she likes it better riding in the passenger seat. Its a shame cuz the fuggin car sits all year, and it only has like 70,000 on it. but its a pearl white with cowl hood, draglites, and saleen wing. I have two stangs of my own but they are both under the knife, trying to get the rest of the money to finish the main one. lots left to do, and cash running low.so we will see what happens.

thanks man your car looked good. i like your exhaust.....my car is still stock internals/un-tuned. prolly gonna get k-pro soon, then maybe comptech blower. we'll see. my best that night was only a 13.8(traction probs), but the car has gone 13.5@102.
