I don't know where to begin with this car. Everything has been replaced except the block. I want to ditch somethings and get new parts. I enjoyed 15+ pounds while it lasted. Hopefully nothing else will go wrong so I can start making this car what I want it to be.

Oh and for the people who say I bought a modded car, kiss my ass. Its an engine swap that would have been done anyway with basic mods. I skipped step 1. Dont like it? Get the **** out. Oh and paying for getting work done to your car = gurentee. You **** up, whos fault is it?

Good luck with the turbo setup, i wouldnt mod it anymore and just save for that, unless its parts that can be used with the turbo setup.
The little bit of power your going to gain from the headers, is it really worth that money now and then to be sold and respent on a turbo? Its winter power will be useless. Save themoney and make a faster turbo car

The only gripe I have about the car is the brakes. If I go over an bump or deviation in the road while braking, the ABS kicks in and I lose most of my braking power. Kind of scary. Big brake kit ftw.

I think it is an aquired taste, I personally think the lights and wheels would work well together, but at the same time blue and gold is very common now because of subaru.

sr20 is nice. I almost bought a 240 and swapped engines with a KA24DE(Altima) engine. But I later found out there aren't too many aftermarket parts for the engine. Good Luck. I might be joining the club in a month or so.

Thats no good. The whole lack of coolant situation might have something to do with that :mrgreen: The black sludge like substance that came out of the lower rad hose wasn't nice. Hopefully it is close enough to get milled.

yea hopefully. but yea the most probable cause of all this, a $5 max ****ing piece of heater tube. there was a kink in the system coming from the heater core. that also explains why i didnt have heat. its always some inexpensive piece that causes big problems. go figure. ill snap some pics when i get back over there.

oh and there wasnt any coolant in the rad cause the guy was using water to put in. and yea that **** looked like water from the everglades haha.

One of the few things that sucks about the SR20 is the knuckleheads that work on them (not you). Hopefully you can get is back in running order without spending too much money.

That radiator is probably all full of crap, same with the heater core. It appeared as if some form of leak stopping shtuff was added at some point which has a tendancy to block everything up. George did flush a lot of crap out, but there is probably lots left over.

bleed out the coolent system. take that bolt off the water neck near the turbo and let the car run and put the bolt back on when u see fluid coming out of the hole. also if u want a cheap and thick radiator buy 1 from a late 80's volvo ,make sure its the aluminum tank 1 and not the plastic 1. its as thick as a koyo and the hoses line right up like a sr rad. heres a pic of mine

I agree with D, don't give up man. I know having an old car is a pain, but you just have to work out the problems with the car. Get all new hoses, belts, fan shroud and replace everything you think might go. Maybe even clutch master and slave cylinders.

When you replace everything and it is running right you will fall in love with the car again. Trust me.

Dude, it's just the little things that got neglected in the first place. Not your fault, but you are bearing the brunt of the maintenance issues now. Unless it's from something serious like the radiator or the water pump, don't sweat it.
