bought the car in july of 2005 and kept it stock for a little bit learning how to drive stick. Got bored with stock and started buying parts after parts and now I have this:

Looks good man get some more pictures, 200whp is a little much for a stock D series hope you got a health motor 200 at the flywheel is possible however...

Let me know if you want a hand with the turbo kit and install

the chassis code is em1. ek is the chassis code for the hatchback.

ek is the chassis code for the hatchback.

You are both wrong.
The EK chassis code is for the SiR or Type R from Japan.
Every 96-00 USDM Civic is a EJ, with the exception of the 99-00 Si, which is an EM1.

So, ketchup owned an EJ8, it was stolen, and now owns an EM1.

I meant to say the ek was the type r/sir version, with the b16. but yeah pearl is right.

the "f*ck thieves" sticker is just asking for more trouble. makes your car stand out even more than the next guy. just my thoughts though.

What type of cams are you gonna end up runnin?

pearl

knowing ketchup, stock ones.

if you are seriously staying all motor, dont put a "NA is best" sticker on your car.

wats wrong with runnin itr or ctr cams on a stock bottom end

pearl
09-20-2007, 05:12 PM
i didnt say anything was wrong with it, but for the price of the cams and to have them installed, you could buy a ls/gsr bottom end and have a overall quicker car with the ls/vtec. hell, even with a b20vtec setup can be a monster over a b16 with ctr cams.

minus the "bling factor" of "ayo i gotz typeee camz son", its not worth it in my eyes.

my buddies b20vtec hatch went 13.70 @ 100mph on street tires. all motor, b16 transmission, stock gsr cams.
don't tach it up too high and you wont get in any trouble.

oo, i just figured that since u had the frownin smiley, doesnt he hav a b16 in the civic

You would also need to get tuned or get a basemap for them.

Ketchup, if I were you, I'd do an OEM build. You can build an all OEM parts motor and come out with 200whp in a 1.8 block (ctr pistons, cams aftermarket header and intake).

You will have fun with the CTR cams in the b16 but will eventually get bored.
I highly recommend you dont stick with the 1.6 block if you really really wanna make moves.
