I purchased the evo September of 2005. It was on the showroom floor with 77 miles on the clock.
Currently has about 28k and ill skip straight to the good stuff.

Tuned by Sean Ivey. It made 380hp/340tq 25 psi. (car was misfiring) It is daily driven about 23psi.

UPDATE 8/16: Fixed the misfiring, car is running perfect. It made 386hp/374tq on 25psi.

i bought the hardwire from Cobra for like $6 haha, the wire is going from the left side of the radar detector to the back of the gauge pod, then is hardwired into the fuse for the cigarette lighter. i love the cleanliness of no wires hanging around.

no, stock programing, i plan to send it to dynoflah within the next 2 weeks. i wanted to wait until i did the majority of my mods, so i did not have to reflash it 4 times.

right on, you should notice a huge difference after the tune. hopefully your p0300 light doesn't come on after that. i flashed my car and now my CEL light comes on all the freaking time... sucks!

Please, don't intall that thing! Sell it, and Get a Spec I or a Type S...you'll NEVER be happy with it.

I can personally account for removing 6 Spec II's in place of the above mentioned choices....they never set correctly and are way to vulnerable to change when it gets cold/hot/humid.

I wanted one and did alot of searching on them and decided not to buy it, but im afraid to buy an old one and have it be somone elses pos.

I've never EVER heard of a profec failing (especially the Spec I's, they were really tough pieces). There isn't much to them.....

Look at the Type S. It's the EXACT same thing as the Spec 1, but with fancier colors and knobs on the controller, and the solenoid is quite a bit smaller (as it doesn't have all the pading around it, like the Spec I solenoid did.

so far so good, i like it, its real consistant and easy to tune. it did wonders over the mbc

Any EBC is lightyears ahead of MBC's. I'll understand why people hate on EBC's so much...boost comes on faster, more reliably, and is controllable in cabin!

If you think that the Spec II is easy, you'll hink the Spec I/Type S is for babies. Set the gain to 80 percent, HIt the gas in third, turn the knob till you hit the boost you want, and push it in. Done. Switch to high. Repeat process. Done.

You can have high and low set in under 30 seconds :)

The Cams pictures above are being installed Friday December 8th, and the car is also being reflashed on the dyno. I will try to get pictures and video, but i dont know if i am going to be there to witness the dyno.

I wouldn't say HIGH he is runnig the 280/280 combo and i bet they tuned him at 24 PSI not 23.

haha guess again, im tuned at 20/21, its a safe tune, i dont want to press my luck with 23+ because i dont have head studs, i have seen them stretch at 23/24 sometimes, and sometimes not. You might get lucky, but i dont want to test my luck. haha

honestly im a wing guy, a dude at good vibes got a CF trunk lid so was wingless, last i saw it, its back on and man does it look meaner. but yeahh its all a matter of opinion.. srt4=better wingless.

not to mention with the HP your putting down, you should use that wing to keep your car on the road and not flying away lol jp

The baseline is a little lower than peak hp last time. Last time it dynoed at 377hp, while the car was running like ****. Sean ivey told me once i had everything straightened out to bring it back. So i did just that. He pulled 386.88hp and 374.31 tq out of the bitch. Between tunes i had not changed a single mod, with the exception of the spark plug wires. So amazingly he pulled out another 36 ft lbs of torque and 15.2 hp. It's amazing how much a misfire at idle can **** up a car.

see my prior post about injector scaling..Unless there is a really good reason for it I am sure it's a rich spoolup afr or some kind of liquid injection that has not been tuned properly. But what do I know:wink:the tune def looks better but how come its lagging around 3700?

Do you have stock injectors?? I am curious to know if they were scaled with the tune or the typical "select all" fuel map tune..With that green and fancy tune you better beat my times thursday!!!:driving:
Did you check to see if your ECU was locked and such after the tune, or did you tell him not lock it?

1. no i have PTE 880cc injectors
2. i have no idea. he does not talk about the tuning at all. like its a secret or something.
3. im prob not gona beat your times becuase of my near no experience. but he did say it was high 11's capable. i hope the car can make up for my lack of experience.
4. yea the Ecu is locked
5. I see how the graph looks around 3700. it just doesnt seem noticable while driving.

If i need to get into it for some reason or another ill let you know, but for now it runs perfect so im keeping my paws off. My curiosity had killed me in the past.

I actually have no idea what i made befor the Green. The last time it was dynoed was at turbotrix after the cams. They SAID it made 363hp on only 20psi which now i understand it complete BS. IDK where they came up with that number but it was bogus because the dynograph didnt even have a torque curve, and i think you need a torque number to get horsepower. Correct? Any way after that i had meth installed and idk what i made on that cause i just had ray do a street tune. never had it dynoed.
