how intense do they inspect youre car in nj? sniff test will be ok, but visual?
2006 legacy outback with a
-TBE, Unsure of brand yet but trying to stay very to stock db levels and look, (help?)
-new turbo in stock location (should be ok for a visual)
- STi tmic, again should be ok for visual.
I think they are mostly concerned with exhaust and this car should NOT attract the laws eyes at all. Think it will pass nj inspection??

ok, we will keep a cat on this car. Is that all you can think of?
Thanks D.
edit, did not NJ have a exempt for 3 years on new cars, or was that someplace else?

unless you u know someone to do your inspection....( or if you become good friends with a shop that does inspection they will most of the time just throw another car on the inspection machine) then they pass you an send you on your way with a new inspection sticker

I believe that is the case. A new car is either exempt for 3 years or only needs to be inspected every 3 years... one of them

In New Jersey new car inspection is good for 4 years, after your new car inspection has expired your new inspection sticker dictates the length of time in which you must get your car inspected again. It varies between once every 2 years or yearly. Had a few new cars. Hope this helps. :)

Sounds like it should pass as long as there are no code when they plug into the obd. They will check under the car for a cat and for stock looking exhaust, but they don't look under the hood. Good luck.
