View Full Version : wideband for 300zx

im looking for a wideband and coming to installation question...i know they tap into downpipe...correct?...so how would it work with a true dual system such as on my z? would i have to run 2 sensers and splice together into the wideband and would this even register correct or just run off of one pipe and would this be accurate?...
I don't see anything wrong with running it on one side for reference. Having the other 3 cylinders isn't going to make much difference to the sensor, as it's only concerned with measureing the AFR of the mixture it sees. The 3 extra cylinders aren't going to make it any more rich or lean.

ahh...thanks. finnally a reply haha...yea i checked on the 300zx.com forum after posting this and they have a page about this...outcome is to put it on the hotter side...aka drivers side. Thanks though.

Depending on your mods, I would really recommend running two widebands.

wow let me just say those are 2 of the sickest Z's ive seen in a while. Finnaly there is someone who has done it...i think i probably will run 2 of them. I figure if im gonna go through the trouble might as well run both. Its probably to my benifit at this point anyway. I will deffinately contact you when i make my decision about this though. How long did it take to do the install?
