This isnt even there shop car. I would like to see videos of this thing on the street. Probably pretty crazy, wonder how much stuff it will be breaking with all that TQ.

The problem is modulating that hp with no traction. You don't get any hp out of big turbos until you floor it, then the wheels are doing 120mph...you still doing 50mph.:cry:

Maybe I'm wrong, but I've seen this problem with "only" 300+whp Hondas.

that thing is sweet.....to bad the redline is so low...can only enjoy full boost for a few thousand rpm's.

I read about the guy on the srt forums. The car still hasnt left ams, its still not finished being modded and tuned. There will still be more to come. They wernt revving it all the way out to redline. And there will defintly be videos of it racing when everythign is complete.
They havent said what yet, but they have plans to make it hook, im just not sure what there doing.

What's the difference? I don't mean to be a dick, but I just hate that attitude. Maybe I just got "Dude, it's just a Saturn" too often. But seriously. Have some respect. That "Neon" is still a fast ****ing car, and someone put a lot of work into it. You have no timeslip posted, so I'll assume you've never raced, or maybe you just haven't posted times. But until you have something that can outrun it, keep your mouth shut.

I still think it's really cool. Functional or not, stick or not, 772 WHP in a Neon is still cool.

Probably a waste of money after roll-on 120 mph burnouts get old... hahaha

I would enjoy a 772 WHP FWD car. You could scare off a LOT of punk kids in that thing. Imagine rolling down 95 and some ass in a "fill-in-the-blank" rolls up next to you. You punch it and spin them until about 110. That would be bad ass.

I agree with Bob's post (not the one where appologizes). However that being said I will also say it's not my car and if that's what makes the guy happy good for him, while I won't respect the car I will respect the owner and effort involved.

They are all just little jabs at the fact that the car has nearly 600 lb/ft of torque and is FWD.

Just like a 1200 HP Supra is only going to run 12's without traction. No one is seriously knocking the car.

i even recently got a thread locked by saying that srt-4's are cheaper and faster than celicas, which is entirely TRUE. the thread was about a race between a celica and an srt-4 and the mods said i was off topic and locked it :lol:

I hate to get involved in this because I really hate the whole SRT-4's are Neon's arguments, but notice that no one argues the fact that WRX/STi's are Impreza's? It's said all the time as a rebuttle, but no one really cares. WRX's are Impreza's, SRT-4's are Neons, they're both revamped economy cars.

Not until post 13 did anyone say the word 'Neon,' and I doubt they were serious. Go post in the AMS Evo thread and say "it's just a Lancer" and you will get zero response, because no one cares. </ot bs that will get deleted probably>

As for this car, if the owner has plans to make it hook it'll be insane.

A 1/4 mile is obviously not the FWD's cup of tea. But even if it doesn't hook in a whole 1/4 mile, it would still be a freeway terror and many many tons of fun.

I honestly don't give a crap what my car runs in a 1/4 mile from a dig. I focus more on making it fun to drive on the street. Now that guy has a LONG way to go before that thing is at streetable as I would prefer... but I'm not the owner of that monster, now am I?

Kudos to the guy for finding/feeding THAT much horsepower in a Neon SRT4.
