i may be buying a new car soon and installing my amps and subs in it. i have a memphis mojo amp, a memhphis 4 channel amp and 2 audiobahn 1100 rms each subs. should i wire it in 0 gauge or 4 gauge? i was told to do it in 0 gauge to the cap, then 0 gauge to the d block and split that off into 8 to each amp. right now the system is completely installed with 4 gauge power wire and 8 to the amps. whats the right way it should be done?

What power is the mojo amp? Sorry I am too lazy to look it up. As long as your fuse by the battery is under 100amps and you keep the total 4 guage wire under 20-25 ft you will have no problems with it. You should be fine with 4 guage as long as it is not in a land yaght.

i think its 2400 watts rms. this is off the top of my head so anyone that is 100% sure feel free to let me know. but yea the amp is a monster non the less. i also have the memphis like 400 watt amp too.

Here is a page of very nice calculators for you. Just a few figures it looks like your going to be at a 0 awg wire but this all depends on the length of the wire and what fuse you are using.

I'd run 0 guage for that many watts. Also remember the fuse is to protect the wire from melting. Not protecting the amps.

i am currently running 0 gauge on my 800 RMS amp. I used to run it on a 2400 Directed audio amp, but none the less always take what you can get. As per the fuse id recommend either a ANL style fuse aka wafer that they sell in a 150 AMP. OR go straight to a circuit breaker and never worry again.
