Personalized TST vynils?

While i was at the evo/sti shootout yesterday, i somehow came up with this idea. I would think it would look something like this, with your username, or whatever. yea or ney/ also post up aditional ideas.

Yeah I think I would kind of dig this, I already have an Area1320 sticker on one window in the same spot above the tst sticker and that looks hot.

i happen to know a shop, ideal graphix, that would be more than happy to make these . ill try and get someone from there to log on i know the shop manager browses these forums all the time.

yea, im not nuts about it either, but its a naturally wide font. Other fonts you would have to strech to make it fit correctly over the tristatetuners.com, which looks distorted.

It's a cool idea but I don't think I would do it. It's not like people won't know who's car it is when you pull up even without the sticker. People usually are like, "um, is that subwrxkid?" lol

i've looked into serialized vinyl but its a lot of work so we just havent done it. i do agree good idea though, just takes a lot more on the production end of things to organize it.

hey, i'll let you know if things change but for now i'm happy with the guy who has been doing my vinyl for the past 1.5 years.

It might be a bit much for the club to do, but maybe if you wanted, you could get custom stuff done, and then just add it to the tst vynils we already have.

I Think it's a great idea, it looks sweet as hell. We were talking about it over on PhillyDSM but with all the thefts in the area lately I'd be sketchy to do it because then it would be even one more way for a potential thief to link your car to your posts/ listing of potential mods on the board. Just thinking about it realistically at this point. But I personally think It looks awesome I just wouldn't do it.

so now that I have the response that im looking for and i think we found our vinyl cutter, lets come with a group decision on what they should look like, font and what-not.

I can do any font up to 14 inches tall which translates to 1008 type. I did just buy a cd containing 5000 company logos. Everything from Burger King, PP&L, Greddy, ACT, Nology, K&N you name it Ill have it. BUT ONLY IN ONE COLOR.

I can custom order any color, metal flake, transparent, mirror, carbon fiber (colored cf too), or glow in the dark. Obviously that will cost more money unless there is more demand for that color in which case Ill buy a 50 yard roll.

Now, I dont have a plotter printer. Only a printer. That means that I can only cut vinyl in one solid color, no color changing, no fading, no shading, no goofy effects. I can layer colors but thats about the only effect I can do.

honestly... sounds like you might have a half dozen or a dozen people interested... thats really not enough to make it a worthwhile venture in my opinion. if you want to do it then thats totally cool but its just not something that the forum is officially going to take on at this point. as long as its no one is profiting off of this from either the vinyl being created or sold to individuals (because of vendor and copyright issues) then its cool with me...
