OK, so my autometer gauges in my WRX have been wired wrong for some time now. When I put on my left turn signal, the gauges blink with the indicator. Annoying, but I have grown accustomed to it.
So now I want to fix it, and am going to tap into the OEM clock harness. There are four wires, each individually labeled on the harness. Problem is, I'm not positive which ones I need to tap into to do what. If it involves wrenches and bolts I could figure it out, but you could say I am a wiring idiot.
The four wires are labeled:
BAT
GND
LIG
ACC
I would assume that GND is ground, and BAT is constant power.
I assume that I tap into ACC to power the gauges when the car is running.
LIG I would assume would be used best to power the backlighting for the gauges when I turn my headlights on.
Am I right, or am I an idiot?
