hey guys, just wanted to let you all know that i'm going up with a few friends to atco. anyone is welcome and i hope to see a lot of you guys from tst there. although, i don't think i will be running my car but i hope to meet a lot of you.

It's like $3 more to race. If anything, pay the $3 extra so you can park in the Pits.

i just don't want to race my car because i don't even have 1000 miles on the odometer yet. i don't need to throw a check engine light for whatever reason.. neways, can you just park in the pits and not race? if so, maybe i'll do that.

Yeah, if you pay $13 you can race or just park in the pits.

Still, how many miles are on the car? If it's 1-200, I'd say not to run it, but if you're past 750 or so you have nothing to worry about.

Seriously, most modern engines break in within 20 miles of driving. No worries.

Good point, but generally I'd put at least 700 miles on a car before really beating on it.

yeah, i started to floor it at 700mile about. i didnt get to atco till i have about 2-3k

i have about 750 miles on the car. i still feel that the car is too new to beat on it yet. on another note i'd still like to see some of you guys there. :D

Yea you do know me Jerry, this is travers with the 10th anniversary.

I ran a 14.3 @ 100 mph. I need to practice slipping the clutch a little more my best 60 ft was a lousy 2.2

Yeah launching the FC is not fun. Get alot of wheel hop? Bring that 60ft down and you should be in the mid to high 13's. Sounds like its running good though.

No wheel hop thankfully, just bogging, or spinning. I'm probly gonna practice my launches and go back next friday. If I dont do it then I'll just wait for my fmic to arrive :cool:

yeah, i got there at 8:30, and waited in line till 11:30, and didn't get on run in. :thumbdow: first a 1st gen dsm broke down, then a mustang blew antifreeze all over the right lane. it was a total let down.

If that 1st gen was black and had an older gentleman in it, that was the guy from my local club chapter who ran 11.02

yeah last time i went down there with the ion redline boys some dude in a 03 cobra, broke down in the right lane....sprayed fluid all over the place... i got it on video lol
