The 240 is going from N/A to turbo.
Just a few pics of the progression. Quality is crap since I took them with the camera in my phone.

Yeah, next I gotta get a rear in that thing and some wider rims/tires or it's gonna be nothin' but a burnout machine.

If you've ever seen my Eclipse, you'd see that I had a wideband in that too. I don't believe in wasting money on things that do nothing.

Yea, wish more people were like you. I see to many ricers with sr20 swaps anymore.

This isn't an SR swap. An RB25 is going in there.

It's going to start off low key, since I'm moving to Portland really soon. No time left.
Stock RB25, stock turbo, ECU. Only extras are exhaust, GReddy intake, and boost controller.
Once I get to Portland, I'll be upgrading the turbo to a Garrett GT35, injectors, AEM EMS, and some Tomei cams.

Motor installed. Tomorrow the Nissan VLSD should be installed.

I'd suggest something better than that v-open you're putting in. What are you planning on doing with the car? If you can't afford a real 1.5 or 2-way diff then you should just weld your stock open diff.

The VLSD will be replaced with a Tomei after the turbo upgrade.

just weld the open diff now and spend the money you would've spent on the tomei on something worthwhile, like suspension parts, booze or hookers.

VLSDs do nothing

Swap looks good! And what's all this talk about a welded open diff being better than a VLSD? Is this strictly a drift car?
Wiisass
10-07-2006, 12:49 AM
Most VLSD's are pretty much open diffs at this point. So they're basically the same thing. And a welded open diff will be much better than a v-open for everything. And everything meaning the car is actually going to get driven. If you're just hard parking and **** then who cares about the diff, just polish the wheels and you'll have all the traction you need. What are you actually planning on doing with this car?

This isn't a drift car at all.

I'm in the process of hunting down body pieces now.
It's getting a CF hood and hatch. Then a really low key body kit (front lip, side skirts, rear valance), then I'm going for stock Nissan charcoal color to keep it fairly low key.

Not yet. If you know someone, shoot them my way. If it's not sold by next weekend, it's getting shipped to Portland with the 240.

It seems like the whole boosted 3g community is having a hard time getting rid of their cars. Or if they do sell em, they fall into the wrong hands like crow's car.

It blew up. The guy who bought it failed to follow crow's advise and get it tuned before going crazy. From what i understand on the way home he got on it a few times and kaboom. It's being parted out as we speak.

Well, all car buyers can't be geniuses. I hope that doesn't happen with mine, but it's gotta go.
