Since my dad pays for my car, i am extremely limited on mods. I convinced him to let me put on the spt performance muffler, but i have no idea how it sounds or if it actually adds anything to the performance? Does anybody have this?

I cant say anything for volume, but it wont add any noticable horsepower. 1~2hp at most. Congrats on finnaly getting some boxer rumble. :mrgreen:

It's a quieter exhaust with a nice rumble to it but nothing crazy.

If I recall correctly Subaru did a review of that exhaust in one of their monthly magazines, they said it barly had any HP gains.

if your dad is paying for your car, just keep it stock and be happy your dads paying for it. a muffler will just make you speed more and think your car is fast, then your dad will be paying for your speeding tickets.

How would a muffler make you drive faster and get speeding tickets??? It wont. I'v never heard a newer 2.5rs with and exhaust, but I'v heard an older one. It sounded just like a honda.

What exhaust were they running? My exhaust sounds NOTHING like a honda. At idle you hear NOTHING. Dead quiet. I'll record a clip of it sometime and post it. Must have been a ****ty exhaust the guy was using.
