Who's buying one? I know I am...you can download any game from NES/SNES/N64 and even TurboGrafx 16 (remember Bonk's Adventure?) and save them on an SD card and play directly off the Wii!

Yes, the older games cost money, but its worth it!

I've always loved how they have such crazy revolutionary things.

Remember:
- The jump pad for NES (for track and feild and everything)
- The BLASTER (yes Nintendo was first for that too)
- Pressure sensitive buttons.

Nintendo really does lead the market...wether we see it in the US or not.

I was raised on nintendo but you can only stomach so much Mario/Zelda/Metroid for so long. They really havent had any good games (in my opinion) to make me consider the Wii over the PS3 when it comes out. Although, I have to say it is extremely cool to be able to play the older games. I'm sure someone will rig it up to play ROMs or something so you can do it for free.

yea...good point...plus, if you have games saved on SD cards, can't you technically take them off the cards and put them on other cards? (kinda like trading baseball cards haha)

The fact that it has wifi greatly expands the playing field...hopefully the internet service for gaming isn't too expensive :)

Do you understand that the ONLY Blue Ray DVD capable reader is made by Sony and starts at $1k?

I am waiting for all my nerdy friends to pick the Wii up and the PS3 and will make my decision from there. Metroid and Zelda I am an oldschool fan of. But currently I am between a rock and a hard place with Xbox360 and Dead Rising....

Oh yea not to mention Wii is making the games cheaper then Xbox/PS3. So instead of paying $50-70 per game, they will only be $20-30. It's great having friends who work @ Gamestop.

Oh yea, and those of you with Nintendo DS systems, they will be able to incorporate them with the Wii. On top of being able to go online through the Wii and downloading the games at a cheaper expense then going to purchase the games retail.

I can't wait to play the new Zelda game, you can take two wii controllers and simulate pulling the bow back and firing arrows...that alone is enough for me :)
