(ok i know this has to do with a honda but mods please dont move this because alot more people look here then in the honda section and past owners of hondas may see it here.)
OK cars running great 3 days after i get the car back from putting in my new tranny. Im approaching an on ramp where i go full throttle in second gear. Now my V-tec engagement is normally at 4800rpms, which led me to believe before hand that the ecu was once chipped but i never opened up the actuall ecu to see for myself. So im flying through second i hear the engagement then i feel it DROP flat (no pull whatsoever when there normally is a pull up top especially then). then at 5800 rpm i hear what sounds like V-t engagement again but this time it breaks up at like 5800 so bad it sounds like crap. i dont know how to explain what it sounds like other then a bunch of little backfires maybe. So today i start to trouble shoot.
I took the plugs out they arent white, no sign of contact with the piston BUT while taking them out i noticed they were extrememly loose so i thought that it couldve been the problem so after taking them all out and cleaning them up i put them back in hoping the plugs looseness was the problem. I go for a ride in the car and sadly to say it wasnt the plugs that were causing the problem, and its still acting up/breaking up up top.
So the other thing me and a friend, whos also a GSR enthusiast (Owns a 300whp) who is well knowledgeable with my car and Works for Mahler Engine services building race motors, start to think to hook up a wideband check out the Air/fuel see what its running and all and then install my afc for tunning possibly my Fpr, new fuel filter and walboro 255. Hopefully the ECU is chipped. i have a picture of it that i will put up if anyone can tell by looking at the internals if it is chipped or not. Andy advice or help would be greatly appreciated please.
