Friends, is their a way to find out where an email originated/came from? Its a yahoo email, cranksyanker@yahoo.com. I have a group of friends that keep getting an email from this fellow Ralph and its causing conflict in our 'community'. I still think it is one of the people in our "group" , Yong, but im only about 90% certain and need to be 100% certain! It is not a good thing.
Is there a way to find out anything about this email.... state, time....etc. IP adress
Thanks very much

awww man. I knew how to figure out the IP adress a long time ago, but i forgot how to. And then with the IP adress you could narrow it down to where his ISP is.
edit: found a site
http://www.johnru.com/active-whois/trace-email.html
and then, do a search in google for "ip locator"

People use Yahoo becuase it is VERY hard to track a purely anon. based webmail.
I think you got served.
