camrys arent really traditionally used as "tuner cars" so on a site called "tristatetuners" you may very well be

if i ever would put any stickers/decals, aside from someting minor in a window, i'd deserve to be shot...as much as i would like to have a hooked up car, i know that a 90 camry is not the right one...i'm considering to change the taillights but havnt decided yet

Sell it and buy a 92 up. You'll have a lot more potential for about the same amount of money.

ToyotaTat

none taken, i figured around that much....i know what i drive and its value, and i honestly think that 2500 is great considering year and miles

Nope I think your the only one. Are you proud to be different? You should be since your car will still be getting 30mpg while everyone else's car on here will be getting towed to the junk yard. =)

If you ever decide to sell it, let me know first. I am always looking for a good DD. Just so you know this is what a potential buyer will be thinking going into a deal:
Trade In: about $1000 to we don't want your junk
Private Sell: a little over $1500
Dealer Sale: around $2500

Even though you have about the best condition 1990 Camery i have ever seen, 2500 is a bit steap for an unwanted/no-tuner/non-hotrod/non-classic 16+ year old car. Keep up the good work and keep it clean... no wire wheels and under body lights, haha.

thanks for the compliment. i checked on KBB, and the srv was $3300, i dont know how! if i decided to sell tomorrow i'd be happy w/ 2g+. i would never do streetglow or anything like that. i prob wont sell though, its in my dad's name and i have a sister who will getting her permit in march, which mean license when i go college (im a senior in hs). but i will let you know if i ever do. the only mods i wanna do as of now (aside from the wheels i already have, 15") is maybe change the tail lights, and add some fogs, but only if they don't look stupid.
also, driving locally i get about 21mpg but could def. get better cuz i actually drive it.

I had a 91 4cyl. Ran great, then I let my girl drive it and the trans had a hole in it when I got it back. My dads buddy had a shop where he was supposed to replace it and the place flooded like 6 feet and the car floated down the road about 100 yards. I junked it after that.

thats a crappy way to lose a cam', my mom used to have a diamante and my dad went through a construction zone and poked a hole in the tranny, that car was pos from the start though

if you want to stick with old school - sell your car and get a 1985 corolla hatch (the AE86) and have some fun.

I drive a 96 rolla, my dad owned a 91 camry but they stole it so many times we got rid of it. We loved the car to death though, never had a problem with it. And I agree that the 92 and up camerys can be made into some really nice cars.

I used to have a Camry.... 88.5 base model with 2.5L V6 & 5-speed manual tranny. That was a fun car.

although mine's only a 4cyl auto, i still m anage to have fun w/ it. so far i've gotten it up to 110mph on Rt1 and olly at 3600rpm, i haven't looked into it but i'm pretty sure theres a governer on the throttle cause it feels like i could go more. thing is, i don't really need to go more than 110, it'd jst be fun. i was considering heavily last week of seling it for something else that i could put some work into, but i'm a senior in high school and i decided that to get something else would be stupid cause im more than likely gonna be away at school next year. and as far as the corolla ae86 goes : eww

there are no good Camry's in the tuner world. Unlike its brother Corolla, which used to be RWD and therefore bad-****ing-ass.

Did you buy the Camry specifically to tune it? Or other circumstances, such as needing a bigass car to DD? Sell it and buy something that's not for 40 year old women who can't afford a Lexus. Even a same-year Corolla would be a better choice for tuning but still pointless.

Protip: enjoy your Camry, but don't waste money polishing a turd.

Then you didn't see my boy tony's V6 Camry Turbo which was on jalopnik and autoblog recently. Makes 728whp.

I know this is a really old thread but i figured i should comment. I'm new (joined yesterday) but i have an 00' solara. Technically it is a camry, but to me they are different cars. I plan to do some nice work to it in the future. So far I have 5% in the back and 35% on the front 2 windows. A sub. Its Debadged. And by the end of October I'll have exhaust on it
