looks like we are in for a couple inches tonight, jan 19th. if the conditions are right we have to have a meet. spend the rest of the day thinking of lots that would be good and we can all try to meet up at a central location to play.

It was pretty good. There were a few bad spots, but they were covering over when I left. They usually don't plow all the lots, and there are a bunch of huge lots.

I have been there a bunch of times and haven't had any problems with the cops, but usually it's just me or me and a few of my buddies. No more that 3 or 4 cars. A security guard came over to us last winter, but we told him we were shooting a video for a website and he left us alone. Another time, a cop pulled into the lot, then parked, and watched. Never came over to say anything, and left after a few minutes. Other than that, no probs. It's a huge lot and it isn't visible from street rd.

i used the levitz lot once before. kinda in view of bus rt. 1 but all in all its not a bad location. there is a dunkin donuts right there though and as i was leaving the lot i saw a cop car parked there...haha.
we just need to make sure to bring the video cameras and really focus on getting some good footage :).
is everyone else interested in going there as well?

We can always go elsewhere. The reason it is a good lot is that they hardly ever plow the whole thing. :) Also, Middletown cops are cool.

is a clutch something you can replace without a lift? if so can anybody help me do it?

I'll check out your clutch tomorrow. You def need a lift and a trans jack to replace the clutch. Precision Tuning Charges $300 for a clutch install (I believe) and it takes them ~4 hours. It's well worth paying someone to do it. Time for an STi flywheel and Exedy Organic Street Clutch, buddy. ;) I can hook you up with that.

The meet was a blast. :rolleyes: I beat the crap out of my trans, diff, rear brakes, tires, engine, etc... but it was well worth it. Doing a 180 at 50mph was incredible!!! :D

I have to defend pete on this one, I think it was kyle who was filming you bryan. I could be wrong but i know he had the camera for most of the night and only passed it off for a little bit. However, pete you still do need to work on your camera skills HA HA. Either way though last nights conditions werent the best for the camera man. There normally was 2-3 people out at once and the camera man had to try and decide who was doing the most film worthy stuff. We need to get more cameras!!

yeah we should definitely get a second camera, and make use of one of those pods that mounts it externally on the car. you can make your camera semi waterproof by bringing some gallon sized plastic bags and rubber bands and covering the entire camera except the lens and putting a couple rubber bands around the lens barrel to keep the bag shut... works like a charm on my camera even in steady rain.
and yeah, its just a shame when footage isnt useable because of the filming, so thats why i made the comment. the filming should be a given and it should be up to the driver to determine if what they are going to do in front of the camera is worthy of going into the final edit.
