maybe like 45 min to an hour... depends... but dan seriously... you can buy these flanges at an automotive store and have a buddy weld them up for you ... unless of course you dont trust ur friends welds

Wow, those welds are a lot nicer looking. If I wait a few more weeks you'll be a master at this. :)

Yea I just want to thank Greg for making that for me haha, definitly one of the best pieces i have ever seen him make. The fitment was perfect and the car sounds ALOT better at 3/4-full throttle.

hey, i have talked to greg about becoming a vendor, but until then this needs to stay as a thread just talking about the stuff he made, not talking about pricing or getting work done by him... this is to protect our paying vendors here.
thanks,

I guess I'm more familiar to my exhaust system.

How many miles have you been running it?

Very nice. We might have to do some more work on mine. Everyone at e-town tonight loved it and the car sounds amazing. But the engine broke, so no sound clips for now unless someone got something on video.

Video of a horrible run from tonight. This car just didn't want to drift. It felt like the "LSD" that was in there decided it didn't want to work at all and it was basically an open diff. Hopefully it's just that or the clutch might be slipping. I think this was the last run before the engine decided to make louder noises than the exhaust.

But depsite all of this, the exhaust sounds great and you can hear it pretty well. Just imagine it a lot louder.

I thought those cars had torsen diffs? Did you change it for a clutch type?

OMG, I just listened too it, I want one now!

This one is an 87 that was originally an NA auto with the sport package so supposedly it's got a clutch-type LSD from what I've read. I think the later 3rd gen and 4th gen supras had torsens. But I will find out either today or tomorrow and figure out how I'm going to get it to lock. It's either getting welded or shimmed, depending on what kind it is.

Raven18940

A lot of the NA's are open diffs, maybe that's your problem :P

Wiisass
08-31-2006, 11:12 AM
It felt pretty much like an open diff. But the VIN tag says it has an LSD and the stock LSD sticker is still on the diff housing. I kind of wish it were open because then I wouldn't even have to pull the internals out to take it to a friends and get it all welded up.

Very cute. Your test pipe looks like it was produced by a company, it's that damn good. As for the exhaust, I would invest in a mendrel pipe bender because that looks kinda tacky. It's whatever but you really do some sick work.
