Well the time has come for me to sell my RS. The car is black with gold wheels. It has a 5-speed manual transmission.

Small modifications I have made:
Kenwood head unit
Infinity rear speakers
JDM Tail lights
Clear corner lights
Clear side markers
'06 STi rear diffuser
Yokohama tires...have about 3k miles on them

The previous owner had put a new clutch in shortly before selling it to me. Not sure when so I won't even guess how many miles are on it

Minor flaws:
Small collection of water in left quarter after huge rains (not my tail lights...those couldn't be sealed better)
Minor dings and dents/scratches
Hood needs paint
Minor curbage on wheels

I have loved this car from the test drive until now. It has been very good to me but it's time to move on. This car has great potential and is swap ready (I had planned on it). The engine is in great shape, never had any problems. It has 94k miles on it. As far as I know the previous owner replaced head gaskets and clutch. Please don't make me put this on autotrader I know someone here can give it a great home. But I do have to sell it for $8k. I will throw in my V5 badgeless grille unpainted but primered from RalliTek.

email me at rconnor1124@comcast.net or PM me with any questions!

I am located in Southampton, PA 18966

email me or leave your email for pictures

PRICE LOWERED TO $7k! NEED TO MOVE IT BUT CAN'T GO LOWER!

just punching in the information on KBB, "Excellent" condition lists your car at $6500... your description sounds more like "Good" which is right around $5900. You might want to reconsider your price a bit...

I guess he is putting into account his mods.

Im a fan of modding cars as much as the next guy, but for the most part they do not increase the resale value of a car. If anything, modded cars are less valuable. I only rag on the price because if it was lower, I knew a guy who was looking for something like this.

the GC style impreza is hard to come by(in an RS trim) I think 8 is about right for this car. I paid 9 for mine a couple years ago with 60k on it and that was a deal.

Yeah, these cars are hard to come by. I picked mine up for an absolute STEAL. 6000$ @ 102k miles, ACT clutch @ 12k, new tranny @ 20k.

It was theft - even with 102k miles it could have easily fetched 7k plus.

This price seems right - bump for a GC, and pics would be nice.

well, just so it's clear that Im not making things up here:

Regardless of how "rare" we believe a car is, the value is dictated by the market.

Renegade_
08-30-2006, 10:38 AM
yeah my ass.

And market doesn't dictate price at all. It's how much a car is worth to an individual. As long as this car is worth that much to one individual - that's what it will sell for.

check the www.rs25.com classifieds sometime

Um excuse me fellas.........the topic of this thread isn't the price of my car. It is simply an ad. First, if you don't like the price don't buy it (wow do I seriously have to say that?). Second, this is a forum, you can make a post somewhere ELSE about how my ad sucks or how stupid I am for asking this much...whatever I don't really care.

Everyone knows about blue book Gaze...your no pioneer. I know what my car is worth on there and I also know how much someone will pay for it. I need the money pretty bad and this is the only way to get it. Thank you for your opinions but please take them elsewhere. If anyone wants pics please email me at rconnor1124@comcast.net.

Taking into consideration that I probably won't be able to get this much for the car after all the comments $7,500 will be the new price.

P.S. Thank you Ralph and Renegade.

Also, I am not taking into consideration my "mods" because there are not real mods done to it it is a completely stock engine.

Thank you,
Ryan

The price seems decent considering it has the highly sought after gold rs rims and it is a nice color and 5 speed which is a plus. My friend bought his gc8 a couple months ago, 2001 automatic with 95k miles and it was like 12k.

KBB doesn't know squat, kbb only uses an equation and doesn't give the actually selling value. If you think your going to find an NSX, FD, Supra TT, or any car like for the kbb price then your mistaken

"Regardless of how "rare" we believe a car is, the value is dictated by the market."

The Market is there are a lot of people who want 98-01 imprezas and not a lot of them to go around so the price goes up becuase of supply and demand. This is the market and it desides the price.

Bump for a clean RS I drove this car around alittle and it shifts fine and didn't have any noticable problems. Some one buy it and swap it :-D

Not once did I say your "ad sucks" or you're "stupid for asking so much"

What I said is that I knew a guy who was interested but felt the price was a bit much. I figured there may have been a typo or maybe there's something else I was unaware of. Despite the fact you may disagree with KBB and NADA values, the formulas and market information they accumulate are accurate and widely accepted. I understand that it's value to you may be that great, but the only way I see this car selling for your price is if you sell it to a fellow Subaru guy and this appears to be the right place. So, good luck.

The Alien

Your right Gaze I am sorry for accusing you of that. What you said is true maybe I just didn't understand how you said it the first time. Thank you for clarifying.

And thank you Ralph for the bump.
