Which one would you guys choose? The older supercar would have higher mileage, more expensive to maintain, and a little more expensive to obtain or you can get a modern average sports car like the 350z/s2k/rx8/evo/sti for a lot less, a lot less miles, and same or better performance.

Example: a 1993 NSX with 80k miles that was taken care of will run you around 33k while you can get a 2002 M3 with 40k miles that was well taken care of for the same amount and it would dominate the NSX in everything, from performance and luxury to styling and practicality.

I as much I would love to own a super car (it would have to be an older one like you stated) the modern car is the better call.

I'd take a Yugo with the bugatti veyron engine strapped to the back.

Sleeper-rific.

300zx TT. Although I'm pretty content with my 300whp 1995 Nissan 240SX. Newer, G35 Coupe TT.

I told myself I would never buy a new car. Than my M3 broke down about 3 hours from home. It was towed to the Bimmer dealership and walked to the mitsubishi dealer down the street and drove home in a brand new Evo MR.

I would pick a NSX over an M3 any day. I'm all about cars with personality. You see M3's all the time. They are very nice cars but they are kinda boring. An NSX is a amazing car. I would defiantly pick that.

kai-
put it this way
the 93 nsx has no warranty, and parts are hella expensive.
my tuner bought a 93 nsx and was trying to finding block to do a build.
best deal he could find was a block for $7500 bucks at the junkyard...

Same question I'm kicking around right now.

While the NSX is an eternal classic, its not my particular taste.
I'll have to agree with Barry too. While the 993t is gonna cost more than $30k and not be cheap to repair, its worth it for me. I  when the 996's appeared.
But an M coupe/vert or S2k is not out of the question either.

Someday soon. Real soon.

What broke down? I thrash mine all the time and no problems so far. Does your exhaust smell really bad when your car is on and when you go get something out of the trunk? Balla!!

Yea, thanks for all your responses. I've been pondering this for a while now and I still haven't reached a conclusion. Supposedly the TCO of an older NSX is somewhere around 2500 a year + gas, oil changes, and tire changes

+1 on that one! the new GT3 is wicked sick sweet! fhfhfhfhfhfh! j/k, but not really!

well it depends what the older car is. I would love to have a Supra. but I'm not really willing to give up my EVO for anything...

Maybe a turbo'd 95 M3 lite...

Porsche 993's can sell higher than 996's. Alot of people want them now.
