I'm pulling out of wachovia. Right now my bank account is at -$221 because they're assholes.
I've heard good things about citizens bank.
According to the timeline they gave me online, I should have $10 w/o all the overdraft fee's, instead...I'm ****ed by them. But I am taking this in to a teller in a couple minutes to bitch at someone and see if we can rectify the situation. assholes

Squeeky wheel gets the grease.
stop buying online porn.
I go through HSBC and I have my checking account tied to my credit card so that if for whatever reason I overdraw my checking account it takes from my credit card as a cash advance. Voila - no penalties. Saved my azz when I was in college. I could float accounts like nobodies business.

i had the same problem you did, it would say i had money in it but the computers took two days to actually refresh so i never had a current status on my accounts, with trumark everything is instant. If you pull from the ATM your account is updated immediatly, its awsome

I still marvel at the fact that in this electronic age banks still batch process their electronic transfers. It's so goofy.

no charges
guess I'll be using Wawa ATM's then
I use "The Bank." Great place, tellers know me by name and both times I've overdrafted, I got a personal phone call to let me know and they never charged me for it.

Doesn't mean anything if you have Wachovia. That's who I use and I was all happy when they said no charges right?, wrong! Even if you use a free ATM, they still charge you $2.00 because it's not a Wachovia ATM. I was using free ATMs and noticed this micellaneous charge...that's what the hell it was. Other than that, I can't complain, bust still... The best bank I ever used was the Police and Fire Federal Credit Union...as soon as I clear up a few other things, I'm going back with them!
And a big NO on Citizens, they're just as bad. If you can get into some kind of Credit Union type bank, you'll be better off.

Yes, while a bank may not charge, the sponsor of the ATM may.
Also, by law they are required to have a confirmation of your acceptance to the charge.

^^^The $2.00 doesn't show up on the ATM receipt, it shows up on my statement/online. But they probably put it somewhere in one of the crevices(sp.) that I didn't read.

I've got a few things to sell off around here that I don't really need, care for anymore. Think I'll open up an ING direct account with that money and let it sit.
Possibly sell the Omni to bump start that as well....maybe...maybe not, I've been wanted one for years now.
Other than that, I should squeak out of this alright. I may or may not be able to make tuition this semester :-(
If that's the case I'm going to start working double time on some java applications and jsp sites to get some experience to compensate for the classes. I'm going to start using my trumark account very very soon too, once I get my paycheck I'm closing my wachovia account and putting those funds into my trumark account asap.
Ugh, if it wasn't such a hassle to pay bills w/o the use of a bank I'd get rid of the accounts altogether

ING direct has a high rate...i know nothing else about it

Yeah, I was gonna do the ING Direct thing once I go back to the credit union. The thing about ING(if I am correct) is that you need to have another account to link to it. Hence moving money from your account to the ING.

ah yes, the fine print as it were.
Oh, and as an aside, my girlfriend loves your car. She is a fanatical Saturn fan. She drives an '02 SC2. Hope to get her (and by extension...me) into a Sky Redline when they come out :supz:

I have Commerce as well and I like them so far. I've had them for a little over a year now. I had Hudson City Savings... they were terrible. I had Bank of New York as well, they were even worse!

I have Bank Of America. Savings, credit cards, checking free with direct deposit.
I like that fact they are national bank. I do alot traveling to the southwest.
No more getting f'd in the a$$ with charges at some bank you never heard of. They do charge ATM at non BoA machines, but BoA not that far away.

I'll be starting up my trumark checking account shortly. I figure I should use them b/c I want to get the SRT refinanced through them.
Gorilla, let me know if she can help out. I doubt she can, but if she can that'd be great. It went up to 260 and some change I got boned on. I'd have to count up exactly how much though, to be sure. That was my insurance payment that will now have to wait another week till I get my commission check, which is my tuition money...which may have to wait till spring semester now
