Modded ralliarts out there?

Lancer Ralliart, a step between the regular lancer and the evo....however, it is a number of steps behind the evo, and only a couple steps ahead of the base lancer.

I have always been disappointed with the special edition Lancers, the O-Z Rally and Ralliart. They just have no go. In my opinion (which counts for shiat really) if you are going to tack the word "Rally" onto a car, it better have some oomph in the engine. I mean the O-Z edition is like, what, 120-ish horsepower...what a joke. At least the Ralliart has got some extra ponies and torque to it at around the mid 160s (I think). I'd expect them to be near the 200 mark at least.

It's just really bad when people who drive lancers thing they own evos. I had a kid make fun of my car once saying his OZ Rally would smoke it. It didn't happen - and I know my car is slow as balls, seriously - 16.0 quarter is the average...

Just 16.0? My brother has a 2000 2.5RS and he hits 15.5's all the time, and his RT's are high .8's.

I never ran the track, I am just giving a general time - I don't know what I would really run. Person that mentioned 16.0 at the meet had a 98 (DOHC, Not SOHC) but I doubt that makes a difference

For some reason I see more people trying to mod OZs versus modding the Ralliart. The Ralliart would be a much better place to start… you get 160hp at least. Intake, header, and chip may get you 180hp… that’s not bad.

But you’re right, I don’t see many nicely modded Ralliarts.

R/T's don't account for ET's. You can have a 10 second R/T and still run a 15.5.

eww...he uses the bosch plugs? I put them in once and the car ran like ass. I put the stockers back in and picked up some new stockers I am putting in soon again (they are almost gone)

I have a RalliArt way better than a Basic Lancer Better suspention & More torque & Horsepower. My car only has a short ram intake I made & a Weld on muffler. It a fun car to drive. It has the Evo gears.
Now there are not that many mods for the Ralliart as for the Lancer. One is the Lancer came in in 2002 as the RalliArt came in at 2004. The only mods I seen is Catback, cold Intake. RRM & RPW just made some headers. Piggyback. Australia is working on some Cam & Camshaft. also RRM made a limited-slip diff. The parts are 2 expencive doe. There turbos from rrm & RPW. And a supercharger from rippsmod.com. around 4g, thats about it. I'm giving it a year or 2, them I should see a more product. I like racing but I almost lost to a base Lancer He jump ahead of me but in 3rd gear I pull away like by 2 cars & the guy quit. But my brother beat a Honda by 3 cars in S. Philly. So I need to practice lauching. Speacialy since I never drove stick but I'm getting used to it. Or let my brother do the Racing.

I had a RRM exhaust on my 02 OZ. I liked it.
