Okay before you go farther, keep in mind...
1) i am aware automatic sucks, however i am stuck with it so i am living with it
2) This may be a stupid ass question however i dont know the answer.
If i throw in a turbo into a A/T, can i throw a blow off valve in? I am guessing no, however i am new to tuning so theres a chance im wrong.

Yes, you can add a blow off valve to an A/T with the addition of a turbo kit. the tranny has NOTHING to do with the need for a BOV. a BOV or BPV is a necesary part of a turbo kit - its required.

But you will not get the same effect as with MTX. You will hold boost as the tranny shifts just like you were flat shifting every gear.

No the trans won't make a difference, if the trans stays in gear thats fine, its not accelerating... as soon as you close the throttle body the manifold pressure goes to high VACUUM and pulls the valve, regardless of the trans. RPMs do NOT reflect boost/vacuum. You have higher vacuum at 5000k engine braking than at idle... the trans will not "load" the engine it will drag it

the main reason why the bov opens is because the air pressure in the intercooler piping is so great that it pushes the valve up and the air escapes. the vaccum from the nipple just helps it open, and also helps it stay closed. ive driven around with a bov with a broken nipple for a while and u hardly notice a difference, even though its not the most desired situtation to be in.

For the civic? If you are turboing it than that will be ur hp gain. My car is pretty much stock with an intake and downpipe. She has a wrx with a bunch of stuff on it.

Not as much as the turbo kit you speak of. First off tell us what the goal is for your car. Just remember that the more HP you gain the more traction does become an issue for FWD.
As for the BOV, as Derf said, it's just part of the turbo kit. It vents (or recircs) when you let off the gas pedal. It's relieving pressure which is it's job. Think of it this way...The blow-off valve is more commonly used to keep the turbocharger spinning when the throttle plate is suddenly closed. When the turbocharger is generating maximum boost pressure at full throttle and then the throttle is suddenly closed, compressed air coming from the compressor slams against the throttle, generating extremely high pressures that travel backwards to the compressor stopping the compressor from spinning. When the throttle plate is again opened, the engine must spool the turbocharger shaft again. The effects of this high pressure can also be very damaging to the turbocharger.
In short turbocharged vehicles = BOV/BPV

coming from a previous honda autotragic owner, you can run a turbo on auto, and also run a bov.
like people said, its not about the tranny, but about the closing of the tb.
