Today AMS made over 1000 wheel horsepoer on a GT45 equipped Evo. They are still trying to get a reading since it maxed out their dyno at 1000. Look forward to some insane video soon!!

while it is pretty impressive, it is still just a dyno #. some of the comments (ams being banned for being a freak of nature, crap your pants from the video, etc...) proves that you guys don't get to atco much.

hell, im not even a mustang fan and there are TWO turbo ones there that probably have more power than that. not a big deal since it is a disgustang i guess:roll:

anyway, can't wait to see the vids of the evo spanking on 400whp cars from a roll and everybody jitting over it:thumbup:. like i said it IS IMPRESSIVE but on most sites i've seen i see

haha probably true, but then again I would put bus lengths on your evo. If I had an evo, for sure it would be stroked w/gt35r and all the supporting mods. I definately wouldn't play around. I will wait until you put your cams, i/c, etc on so I can send you back to Sean @ Ivey wanting more power!

You guys are definitely hating, but I see your points.. The cars are making more power then they need in order to put down the times they have, but it is very difficult getting it all to the ground effectively with this type of awd 5 speed setup.
Nick, your just mad because the 600hp evo pulled away from the F-body cammed with 150 shot pretty easily with the 35r setup.
I agree it is a great marketing tool, and I'd be surprised if this car even went down the 1/4 mile, but the one thing I am impressed by, is the ~500hp/liter. Sure turbo mustangs and american whatnot can make over 1000hp, but gor them to be making the same hp per displacement they would need to be between 2500-3000 HP!

I'd be more impressed if they could get 600hp to the ground EFFICIANTLY than make 2000whp on a dyno.

600hp is all you should need to run sub10 sec 1/4 runs in a evo and dominate the road racing scene.

First off let me just say that I am a huge huge AMS fan boy I would suck all there dicks just so they could remember my name. They make the sickest evos ever there fab and tuning skills are off the mother****ing wall. Wich is one reson why i dumbed a ass load of $$$$ with them. There evo 8 is the fastest in the world and was the first to break in the 9's. And it is a pain in the ass to make a awd 5 speed car with over 900whp to hook up. Since you can't put huge slicks on it. And they definitly don't build dyno gueens, If iam not mistakin they just built the if not one off the fastest turbo KA 240 in the USA. And to think it all started with 2.3 turbo cams. Not tryin to fight just showin my AMS love Oh and 600 whp would be horrible for the road race scene unless you mean strip.

Are you drunk??? 600hp would be bad for road racing??? Have you ever competed in a road racing event??? It all depends how the power is delivered. You can't have a car with a powerband that comes on like an on/off switch. The hks time attack evo has over 600hp, so does the SUN Auto car.
