Well, I plunged and got rid of my car. I was getting sick of the interior rattles, and all the stupid noises it was making.
I traded the S in and bought myself a 2006 G35 coupe 6spd. It's fully loaded minus the Navigation. It even has four wheel steering. Can't really notice it much, except for initial turn in, when moving at a decent speed.
I am really happy as the build quality, overall, is much better than my S2000's. I probably won't mod this much, and just buy a bike. I will have pics up later.

If it helps you any, I don't miss my S whatsoever. And it handled much better and was much faster than a stock S.
I couldn't take how noisy the S was anymore. If I ever get another, it will purely a track car.

I will most likely do the basics. Suspension and I/E. Nothing more than that.
So far, I'm very happy with it. Not the fastest thing out there, but fun to drive.

You traded-in a fully built and stroked s2000??? Damn, I'm shocked.

I'm not, in fact I'm surprised what I lot of people put up with here on a day to day basis. I was talking with a guy at the meet this week who had a civic. When I told him my car had 235whp and could only do 15.1 he laughed and said his 200whp civic could do 13.3 on street tires. He said he had tien coilovers or something like that. I walked over and pushed down on the back of his car, it moved a millimeter. I said, "You see, your car doesn't have a suspension, it just rides on ciderblocks."
Congrats on the G35.........but you should have got a SAAB. :P

A loud, rattling, bumpy car gets old after a while. No real point in driving a car like that on a day to day basis. It was time to move on, and the easiest way to get out of it, was to just trade it in. The only thing I left in it was the motor. I took everything else out.

Exactly. I'm over the "my car can do this." I need a good, reliable daily driver that shows I am a business person. Not a guy with a hooked up car.

Yea, I hate how much noise the S2k has. One of the latches for the roof rattles, my seat squeeks everytime I hit a bump because it rubs, soo much engine noise when highway cruising. Although I'm surprised it handles better than the s2k.

The 6mt has the sport suspension which i was "shocked" to find is made by tokico.

I know what your saying but, wouldn't you of got a ton more money if you sold it to a person who knew it was built and stroked??? I mean the dealership just gave you blue book right???

No, I meant my S2000 handled much better than a stock S2000. Hahaa. My S would have smoked the G35.

Well, that wouldn't have been something I dumped as much money into as I did the S2000. I would have kept it how it was. It was awesome.

Im kinda upset you got rid of the s2 hopper but then in the back of my mind I can see why, whoever buys that thing at the dealership is going to have the test drive of their lifetime, thinking its a stock s2k. I heard you're moving back here hopper?

Went to the only dealership in Vegas with an 02 Z06. We didn't even see it there, and the salesman was trying to say I couldn't even afford a used EVO. So, I went and bought an even more expensive car. Sucks for that salesguy loosing a 30k sale.

You probably said this, but what color is it? I wouldn't have bought a used evo, definitely g35

I hate that!! Why don't sales people ever show me any respect! I only get respect from BMW but thats because I always go there and they know me. And Benz because my dad has changed his benz 3 times in the past 3 years S430 to S500 to S55 AMG (current car)

I pulled up in an S2000, they wouldn't let me drive the Evo without a credit check. I laughed in his face. Went to Infiniti and the guy gave me the keys and said "have fun."
The car is black. I'll have pics soon.

Yea, I don't know why it's soo hard to test drive an Evo or STi. Obsidian Black is hot, did you get black interior too?
LSHatch
07-16-2006, 09:36 PM
Yes, the interior is black also. Soon, it will have tint and hopefully some black wheels on it. Then tint the tails and headlights.
MPowerKai

thats hot, I'm not too fond of the beige interior. Are you gonna get the polished lip on the black wheels cause that would be AWESOME
LSHatch

Either getting the OEM 19's powdercoated black or getting something black with a polished lip.

Sweet. So do you miss the S at all?
LSHatch

I do miss it. I miss the driving experience the S gives you. You really can't match it. Do I miss the rattles, the loud exhaust, the wind noise, etc... No.
I will most likely buy another one someday and make it a track car.
