Just went to pick up my 1965 Nova. It rides like a dream, I love it! I just need to get a good paintjob on it and it's set. It's the anti-thesis of my current daily driver. It's RWD instead of FWD, it's a six instead of a four, it's auto instead of manual, it's 4 door instead of two, it's slow instead of fast, and it's primered instead of painted, lol. I decided it would be a good idea to get another classic Chevy (Since I already own a '52 2 door) that the family can all enjoy, so I set out to find a 4 door in good shape. Since I've had enough experience with powerglide trannies, and straight sixes to know that neither can be killed, I wanted it to have both. So I got myself a nice Nova with a 230 ci six, and a powerglide trans. I'll tell you what, for all the people who love the new car smell, I personally can't stand it. But when I get in a classic, ahhhhhhhhh, the smell of 41 year old upholstry that's been kept really nice just gets me every time. I don't know if I'll ever own another car younger than I am......but anyway.........
I got tired of dealing with FWD issues, so I decided I'm putting the Z24 up for sale. Just in case anyone's interested, you can check out the car in my tst garage. It now sports some mild body damage, thanks to the dumb c*%t in the Yukon, but if anyone needs to see pics, I'll post some up.
