I need tires for my new wheels since I sold my other wheels/tires. I really want Advan Neova AD07's or A048's. The Neova's have a tred wear of just over 100 and the A048's are in the 60's somewhere, JESUS! Either way, both tires are over $250 each, which I am not sure I am willing to dish out since that is alot of cash. I used to have Yokahama Prada spec II's on my WORK Emo's which I loved but they don't make the size I need for the Advans. So here is the question, what tire would you choose for a 235/40/18? Also, any particular place you would order them from? I get all my stuff from z1 auto, but they don't really get into tires. Let me know, thanks!

BF goodrich G-force t/a radial tire i think they might make it in that size, i guess you could just shop around. i would get mine at East Coast extreme sounds in hopewell, he can get you anything you need for a car (not just sound systems) for a good price. PM me for info.

I don't want a radial, that would be terrible for an awd car. Alot of people go with the BFG KDW2's which are pretty sick, but I am not a big fan of the tred style. Either way, I will pm you for info.

Yeah, those are the ones I was saying everyone has and that I don't really like the tread pattern. I really like the BFG KD's, they are super hot. But they don't make them in my size and they are well over $200 per tire...

only kid i know who will drop $1000 on tires cause they 'look' good.
i think you're helpless, but if my memory serves me correctly bonehead performance said he could get tires. or if not him why not browse the vendor section? there are about 20 vendors on here now and with all the damn bandwidth you use on here you might as well try to give them some business

haha, well if I spent $1000 on tires, they would probably be more than looks, am I correct? I am going to say Advan A048's are probably the best competition tire out there, but yes your right they also look really sick and your also right about me probably not needing something like that. As far as the vendors go, this thread is posted publicly, so if they would like they can submit their recommendations and we can set up a purchase.
BTW, what are you talking about using alot of bandwidth?

i was joking about you being on the site a lot... which uses more 'space' which i pay for but thats what the vendors are for, they make the forum free for you to use. thats why i'm saying you should look through the vendors and see if you can bring some business to them when its possible.
i would highly recommend getting a tire with a higher treadwear rating than 100 or whatever... they'll wear out incredibly quickly and then you'll be buying another set before you know it.

haha, for sure! I am going to call some of the vendors, it's just takes to much time to make threads in each of their forums and PM'ing doesn't give you that immediate response which we all look for. My last tire handled amazing and it was a 300 tred wear, but they don't make them in my new size. I was looking at some other tires, but the potenza re70's, prada spec II's, and KD's don't come in 235's so it looks like I may be stuck with the BFG KDW2's which to me is a "me too" tire.

Might want to look into the new pilot cup's or falken azenis..The new RE-01R's are supposed to be very, very good as well, they are brand new, and have your specific size, but are in the same price bracket as the Neova's.. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Sizes.jsp?make=Bridgestone&model=Potenza+RE-01R

They are actually very good, comparable to the NEOVA's at almost half the price..Same low treadwear and high grip..They are good tires right? I am not to familar with them.

azenis rock, but if you buy them without checking with bonehead performance to see if they can get them, i'll key your fresh paintjob.
ok maybe i shouldnt say that in case your car ever does get keyed, but yeah... check with bonehead cause i think he said he could get azenis.
thanks :)

If KDW2's are still an option, I got them from Costco.
Mount, balance, road hazzard, shipping, evrything- $170/each. 235/40/18's
By far the best price 2 months ago.
Great tire so far.

You wreck a tire on a nail, pot hole, any general road hazard, they replace tire. They will pro-rate the tire in most cases acording to mileage, but beats paying 100% without it.
Tirerack.com wanted an extra $75 for road hazard (4 tires), $202/ tire, plus shipping.

I already know he told me he couldn't get the falkens for me, but I asked again and he is going to try. I just gave it a shot for the tst vendor and hometown shop, if not I could always look at tirerack or discounttire.com
