so yesterday 96s14 and i put my MBC on the evo, and what a difference it makes!! i bought the one from dejon powerhouse (http://evo.dejonpowerhouse.com/) After extensive road tuning and police run-ins, boost is now hitting 21-22 psi around 5500 rpm -6000 rpm and drops and holds at 19psi till redline and now spool up is instint which almost deminishes all turbo lag. After this i just added a couple cars to my "could kill" list. :finga:

thats my proud moment of the week.

...and yes the tires will chirp going from 1st to 2nd haha

judging from your garage....w/ a tune you would already have a pretty decently long kill list....evo's respond very well to upgrades...turbo back and no tune can produce a 13.3 which my cousin (olsookie) pulled, tuned your car will be in the 12 second range for sure

Tuned you will for sure like he is saying pull off a 12.8ish range.

He should be faster then 12.8 tuned.. An 05 with turboback, mbc, and tune should be good for low 12's almost 11's at 112 or so..Tuned you will for sure like he is saying pull off a 12.8ish range.

I had just a Turboback Exhaust and i launched the **** out of it, and i ran a 12.7 , so ya you should be easy able to get a 12.5.

What kind of tune are you looking for?? I may be able to get you a decent price..Once tuned you will see a hell of a difference..FYI I went 12.6 with a dynoflash tune and test pipe, all stock otherwise..I'd expect you to see about a 35hp gain with your mods once tuned..Thanks for the replies guys. Tune with what? If you are using an AFC, please realize that they have shown to have a negative effect on torque numbers on EVO's even when tuned perfectly..If I were you, I would get ECu flash and EVOSCANif you know how to do load based fuel and ignition tuning..Here are some screenshots.

I will be tuning his car most likely. We dont want to do a reflash because mods will keep coming. No safc. What are his best options?

I say you get it tuned. What does it cost for a dyno flash for an evo, like $300. Throw the cash out and you should run a good time.

That makes no sense, you can flash a car more then once.If you are asking this question, do you really think you should be doing the tuning? I would suggest the motec M-800 pnp definitely, mabye try the Translator Pro..I will be tuning his car most likely. We dont want to do a reflash because mods will keep coming. No safc. If he were to go to the track and get it, it would be like 100 bux..I think you should have a professional tune it, there is more to tuning evo's then WOT fuel and ignition maps..ECUflash and evoscan can be had for like 150 bux or something.I say you get it tuned. What does it cost for a dyno flash for an evo, like $300. Throw the cash out and you should run a good time.
