So, I was offered a job earlier this week with US Technology Resources (www.ustri.com (http://www.ustri.com)), and I think I'm going to take it. I'll be doing consulting for Fortune 500 companies, involving logic and business modeling for software requirements, quality, and testing practices. The specific approach is new to the industry, as no other consulting practices currently offer it, and I'm the first person being hired to get it going in this company. In other words, I'll be in a possible operations managing position in one year that would normally take at least 5 years to obtain.

That's the good news. The bad news is that it requires moving to Houston. Even more so, there is a client coming up next week in Kansas City if all goes well that I will be leaving for as early as Wednesday for 3-6 months.

I just wanted to thank everyone on this forum for giving me something to do since last April. I've made a bunch of friends, I've learned a lot about cars, and I've had a great time! I'm sure I'll still be online a lot, and I'll probably fly home for the weekend now and then when I can. Thanks again for all of the memorable events over the last year, and keep up the great work. Hey, at least now I might actually be able to afford that new Z06 in a year. :(

Yeah, seriously! One of the guys was telling me he bought a house in Kingwood, just north of Houston, last year. English tudor style, 4 bedroom, 3 1/2 bath, granite kitchen, big fireplace, lots of room, big yard surrounded by trees...$187,500!!

Oh, and apparently they have no state income tax either.

Good luck man. Seeing as you aren't a steer, guess that narrows it down....

Seriously though, you still have the internet. Don't let yourself become a stranger to TST.

Thanks everyone! It looks like it's Kansas City Tuesday night through Friday, home for the weekend, back to Kansas City for the week, home for the weekend again, and then a more permanent move at some point after that. Maybe I'll go see the Royals play, HAHA.
