So, yesterday I installed all new pool equipment on this pool... new pump/filter/heater/valves etc... ~$5500 value. It took most of the day yesterday to do the job and it came out great. The pool looked great. Then, last nite the drainage system on Susquehanna Road decided to fail and send a river of water thru their back yard/basement/pool destroying everything in its path. The sad part is that the owners just bought the place 2 weeks ago. What a mess. The owner cleaned most of the floating debris, lawn chairs etc before I got there.

Maybe. Usually when this happens I get all of my pumps and head to the riverfront properties for volunteer work.

I've worked at houses where the pool looks like that all the time.

Wow that's gonna be hell isn't it?
Does that WHOLE thing have to be drained...scrubbed..and re-done?? DAAAMMMNN!!!
I had the same thing happen when we moved into my new house a few years ago...3 months TO THE DAY!! Foot or two in the basement...gardens washed away...fences ripped down...and above ground pool...down the river (which is supposed to be a stream).

I have to drain it out, shovel the debris out and check the damage. Hopefully its just going to take a good acid wash to clean it up.
